Got a new replacement reciever and when I turn it on and try to setup it only goes to 40 % then gives code 004

My dad called and they told us to take card out and put back in and that fixed it.

Error 004 indicates that an issue was detected on the Multidish switch, and if it cannot be resolved remotely a technician visit is necessary.

In order for the Community to better assist we need a bit more information.
Which television service are you using (Fibe or Satellite), and what type of TV receiver (make/model)?
We recommend unplugging the equipment to reboot, and also please ensure that all of the cords are securely connected.

just got a new receiver 6500. getting the setup page started to go through gets to 40% and then i get a error code 004. tried resetting. ensured i had the proper rg6 coax cable and a new one at that. ensured its grounded correctly. what other things can i check other than the receiver.

Error 004 on the 6500 is an issue detected on the Multidish switch. Are you still experiencing this issue and if so, is it only happening on this receiver or does it occur on other receivers (if you have additional receivers)?

Hi there
I just got the 6500 receiver as a replacement but anytime I try to do the startup and complete the setup on the receiver it fails and says to mention error code #004 anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Yes still getting the same message. Only on the 6500 receiver it does that all the other ones are working
