Hi @stevee, welcome to the Community! 🙂

In the Settings > My Devices, you will see the names of the registered/logged in devices. Those device names are derived from the device itself, so any edits to the device names will need to occur on the actual device in question.

I just got four minis. Got them all up and running. On the app it lists my devices by numbers and I would like to change that to the names. I know how to do it but I don’t know by the numbers which device it is

how can I tell?

I have the same request and the answer is almost the solution however, the device name in the app is derived from the Models for my TVs, I have 3 Sonys and 2 are identical models, all 3 have different Device Names.  Perhaps the app needs some tweaking?

Good Day.

I am not quite sure what the question is nor how to answer you in terms of devices that are identical.

For example, if you have 3 Apple iPhones & 3 Apple iPads, the app will name them Apple iPhone & Apple iPad. You will end up with three of each. You can add an identifier to each name to easily distinguish one from the other. The MAC address & IP Address in the More info section of the app can be used to distinguish / compare to the same detail that is stored on the device. ie.  If you select the blue info button to the right of the Wi-Fi network on your device, you can view the matching Mac & IP address information.

This holds true for all devices connected to your network. On TV's this information is stored in the Settings Menu. E.g. Connections > Network settings

Take care.

Hello:

First, I am using the mobile Bell Fibe TV app, there is a My Devices section in Settings, there is no "More" button, there is no Mac IP addresses, there is ONLY a list of what Bell calls devices.  These devices when checked on the actual device's Settings lists out it's own Device Name and Model.  The Device Name  can be edited, Model cannot be changed.  Bell Fibe app lists the devices in My Settings mentioned above by Model.
So, if I have 2 or 5 TVs in My Devices they are listed exactly the same.  If I have 1000 identical TVs in my home and want to view Bell TV content on 5of them, how can I identify which 5 if they all have the same model number?

What I hope to see is that the app use the device's editable DEVICE NAME in My Devices, not the Model name (which cannot be changed).

I hope that the Bell app developers pick this jp and have a look, thank you.
