I recently got Bell Fibe TV with no other services - stand alone service. I am now receiving notices that my internet usage is reaching its maximum monthly allowance. How can I be reaching the limit on a service I don't have?

Hi there @75MJ
Based on the information you've provided, you would only have the stand-alone Fibe TV service with us. While you do have the internet modem, you do not have access to the internet on devices such as phones, laptops, tablets, etc... Your television will still work fine for viewing purposes, but any internet based applications on the television aside from your normal programming guide will also not work. If you follow the steps indicated you can remove the usage notifications so you do not receive them.
- Login to your MyBell
- Select "My Profile"
- Select "MyBell"
- Go down to service profiles and click on the "Internet - b1******"
- Go down to "Usage notifications" and click the "Edit" button
- Select the boxes that indicate 75% , 90%, 100% so there is no check mark on them and click "Save".
- You should no longer receive any usage notifications until you re-enable them.

Hi there @75MJ
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
While you may not have an actual internet service plan through us the Fibe TV does run through internet and therefore uses some usage which is what would be prompting these notifications. If you check your My Profile through MyBell
and click on the internet section under "Service profiles", you can edit your usage notification preferences.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Community.

AS I said, I have Bell Fibe TV - nothing else. No computer, no cell phone, no we-fi (that I know about) and no other service. I have a fiber optic cable/line that comes into the house and terminates in a box installed in the basement that as I have been told, provides wireless signal/connection to the television. MyBell indicates that I have 0GB internet usage available but at 0.078GB usage I am getting notices that I am at 75% of my usage limit. Granted I am old and the world has changed but when I went to school 75% of 0 was still 0.

This makes sense to some degree but why would Bell sell me a service that runs on the internet and then give me a plan with a '0' internet usage limit. Effectively they are making it impossible for me to use the TV service if it works on the internet. In addition, it appears since I have a 0GB usage limit there is no way for me to change the notices as you suggest.
