Is CBC News Network included in Starter package?

On the Bell web site it shows the CBC NN as part of the Starter package, but it doesn't work unless I use one of my "Pick-20" A la carte choices for it.

I did a chat with Bell, and they told me I was confused, that it only included local CBC channel. I said I wasn't confused, but rather mislead by what was clearly shown on the web page. They said they will "take it up" with the higher authority.

In the meantime, does anyone have the Starter package and can tell me if CBC News Net is there or not please.

Good day.

The CBC NEWS Network is not available in all areas. Please reference the Starter TV - View all channels in the following web link:

  • Only available in select areas - CBC NEWS Network

TV packages | Fibe TV | Bell Canada

It is available in select regions & packages only.

Take care.

I don't really understand this "available in selected regions" statement.

I am in Ottawa; CBC NN is 'available' in this region as an 'a la carte' choice, but not available in this region as part of the Starter package as shown on the web page?

So then, it is actually 'available' in my region, but Bell chooses to not include it in the Starter package in my region?

Do I have that right?

CBC news network, 1502, shows up online

The CBC NEWS Network is not available in all areas. Please reference the Starter TV - View all channels in the following web link:

  • Only available in select areas - CBC NEWS Network

TV packages | Fibe TV | Bell Canada

Please refer to channel details by selecting > View all channels in the Starter TV.

If is not available in your region, you can add this station as an à la carte channel on MyBell.

Take care.

I have the starter package and up until Friday, Nov 8 been able to watch the CBC News Network.  It has been part of my package, now it's gone.  Want to know where it is

The starter package shows CBC NN as "only available in select areas". I don't know what that means, because CBC NN is definitely available where I am, it just isn't included in the starter package for me.  I have to use one of my "Pick 20" selections to get it.

So, there's apparently no technical reason why it's not included, just Bell being Bell.  Maybe your area has just been  "de-selected". Good luck if you phone Bell, they just tell you it's not included, not why.
