Up until this week I have always been able to mirror my Fibe app on my android to the tv (not Chromecast). Did something change?

We don't have Bell service of any sort at our cottage. Would registering the cottage make a difference, if there aren't any Bell services there?

Bell seems to have disabled a feature that we have had without warning or explanation.

I see. I don’t even have a Canadian PR status & my friends born in Canada never talked about this with me. Thanks for you guys’ extra info. Looks like this is a complex situation involving not just the crackdown on acct.-sharing. I heard there were times when telcos traded infrastructure and assets with each other, so their respective businesses would be more concentrated.

That is absolute garbage!
How can you take back a simple function that allowed me to use my Bell Fibe service across numerous devices!? This is just another example of Ma Bell trying to find a way to squeeze another penny out of customers that are already paying waaaay too much for a service.
Despicable.

tbh, Bell is the most economic major pay tv provider in the country. Unlike other telcos, its lowest a la carte allows customers to not only swap around 160 channels almost anytime, but also gives customers prorated bills. Most channels other than premium sports permit viewers subscribe and cancel any time without penalty. If your strategy, timing and stuff are excellent, you could pay only $50 after taxes for 3gbps+a la carte 5, 12 months of crave+starz and get a $200 prepaid Visa card, even if in summer.

Why? Samsung is a legal tv provider and Fibe controls what I see not what TV I project to.

I have 4 Samsung Smart TVs. All were able to upload a mirror image of the home tv until a month ago . Thus something has changed in the software since then. I expect Bell to deduct the extra charge for the app.

The Fibe TV app does not support direct screen mirroring. However, you can cast content from the Fibe TV app on your mobile device to a compatible streaming device. E.g. Streamer, Firestick, etc.
Are you using the Samsung Smart View App or Smart Things App on your device? Have you contacted Samsung tech support?

If you're using a device that doesn't support casting, you might need to explore other options like using a physical connection like an HDMI cable, depending on your TV and device.
