Prime App buffering on Bell fibe

Is it a bell or prime issue. Other streaming apps work OK. I'm using a giga hub with a wireless tv box.

I went through all sorts of testing and the only thing works is to disconnect the receiver and then there is no problem with Prime. Don't who has the problem, U am content yo just unplug the Bell satalite receiver for the TV and a is well

Hey @DanC.

Welcome to the Bell Community, and thanks for your post.

Can you clarify the make/model of your TV receiver? Is this affecting just a certain channel/show/movie or multiple? Have you checked to see if the same thing happens on any other device?
Are you able to test a wired connection to see if you notice any difference?

Arris VIP 802 wireless. Other streaming services work OK. I use the Prime app on my LG tv now and bypass the Bell receiver which plays without buffering.

I have the same problem.  Prime App works fine on Tablet and phone but is buffering on the Bell receivers.

Hi there @Davey2687
Thank you for your post.
Were you able to test a wired vs wireless connection to see if the issue persists on both connection types?
Have you tried rebooting your equipment (both modem and receiver) and can you confirm which modem and receiver you have?

Looking forward to hearing back.

The Bell equipment is listed n a previous reply. I am on my 3rd receiver and  2nd modem since September. A bell repairman didn't have a cable long enough last year when the tv wireless connection was failing. Finally a giga hub modem resolved that. ($199.00) Rebooting both devices didn't fix the Prime issue. Now I watch steaming using my internet and smart tv bypassing the Bell receiver. I notice too by doing this I get a Dolby Digital display on my Harman Kardon receiver.

Hi there @DanC  @Davey2687
Based on the issue, we believe this is most likely a internet connection issue. Our best recommendation would be to connect your box via ethernet cord instead of WiFi or moving your box closer to the modem.

It is only 20 feet (unobstructed) between the tv and modem.

I'm having the same issue with 1 of my boxes prime and only prime buffers constantly tried rebooting multiple times hard reboot also reboot from tech. Modem is only 3 feet from this box. We left rogers hoping for better service but buffering is worse than slow internet speed

I've don't use the Bell box anymore, the streaming apps work well modem direct to my OLED TV.. Other Tv's worth ok with a Fire stick.

Hey there @Saje, thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community.

Can you share what type of TV receiver you're using (make/model). Also, can you please test a direct Ethernet connection from the TV receiver to your modem, and let us know if that makes any difference?

Hope to hear from you soon.

It's a samsung smart TV I hooked up a cable direct does the same it only effects prime app on that single box the one closet to modem

Whole home 2000, smart tv, Amazon Prime.

I keep losing connection when accessing Amazon Prime. I have rebooted, reseated, changed cables, all hardware units, and upgraded all software, andc re-register at Amazon. Connection works for a bit and then gets flaky. The problem remains.  When I disconnect the Bell Fibe wireless receiver the problem goes away. No problem when watching regular TV channels.

Anybody know why?

Hey @JakeSnake 🙂
Welcome to the Bell Community, and thanks very much for posting this helpful information.
Can you clarify which device you're using to access the Amazon Prime App?
Since you mention the issue was resolved for you when you unplugged the wireless TV receiver, it sounds like the two pieces of equipment could be causing some interference between themselves. You could also test by moving the equipment further away from each other to see if the same things keeps happening.
