I have a bell 9242 and two remotes that will not program to the receiver. The remotes are both from dual tuner receivers and they are “2” second tv remotes. 1- is a 6.3 IR/UHF Pro and 1- 6.4 IR/UHF Pro.

Good Day.
I have included the following tutorial to assist you. Please review the included instructions for the Slim remote.
How to program my Bell Satellite TV remote control : Slim remote (9500, 7500, and 6500 only)
Is this a new remote control? Have you checked the batteries?
Take care.

Good Day.
The Slim remote control has not changed. Have a look at the following website. Please select Bell Slim remote. If this does not resolve your remote issues, it may be time to order a replacement.

Hey there @BDG
Can you clarify exactly what happens when you try to pair the remote? Is it the remote that came with the receiver, or one that you had already?

Hello @BDG
Thanks for your reply.
You can try to reset the frequency by following the steps below:
- Press SYSTEM INFO on the front of the receiver.
- On your remote, press and hold options for a minimum of three seconds until the green tv light flashes twice.
- On your remote keypad, enter any number between 1 and 16. (Enter two digits, such as 01, 02, 03 and so on.) Press select. The green tv light should flash twice. This will reset the frequency the remote uses to communicate with the receiver.
- Press Select.
- Press Record (rec). The remote address field on the System Info screen will display the number you selected.
- Select Done. You will now be able to control the Bell Satellite TV receiver.
If you are still unable to pair the remote and receiver as @WelshTerrier suggested, it may be necessary to order a replacement remote.
Let us know how everything turns out.

Bell Satellite TV with6500 receiver
current remote (3.2 IR) is failing.
I have two slim remotes that were used with a Bell Fibe 3000 in my city home that was upgraded.
Followed the instructions to program the slim remotes( new batteries, press option button , green tv light flashed 2 times, enter 0006) The green TV light flashed twice to indicate in worked. However, the slim does not control the receiver.
Followed the instructions to reset the frequency(System Info , press option button green tv light flashed twice, entered a new frequency, e.g. 12, pressed select, the green TV ligh flashed twice, pressselect press record, however the remote address field did not change. Again the slim remote did not control the 6500 reciever.
This was the case for both slim remotes.
Does this indicate that the 6500 reciever is malfunctioning and needs replacement?

Good Day.
Based on information you have provided & the steps that you have followed, I suspect the problem is with your 6500 HD receiver.
You mentioned that the current remote control on your 6500 HD receiver is failing. You have tried to reprogram 2 previously working Slim remotes & both of which are not being recognized by the 6500 HD receiver. This leads me to believe that there is a fault within the receiver.
You could try doing a factory reset to defaults on your 6500 HD receiver. I do not believe this will solve the frequency communications issues between the remote control & the 6500 HD receiver.
I have included the following articles for your perusal.
How to program my Bell Satellite TV remote control : Slim remote (9500, 7500, and 6500 only)

Take care.
