Satellite box

my receiver box old and having problems. they sent a new receiver but when I tried to sync it

it didnt work so I called Bell and gave them my R# and S# and they tell me they belong to someone else.

I guess this person returned the receiver but Bell didn't take it off their account.  Cannot get through Bell's head to going into that persons account and remove it. All they keep telling me is that I am giving them the wrong #'s.  I'm not stupid I can read off the screen.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum

Please do not take this personal. I will do my best to assist you in resolving your problem.

This is a community forum. We do not have access to your account & billing information. We are all members as you are, trying to help each other out by asking and answering questions, sharing thoughts, ideas and solutions.

Let's just try the following one more time:

Access the System Info screen once you have turned on your satellite TV receiver. You may access System Info by any of the following:

  • Press the System Info button on the front panel of your receiver, if available.
  • Press the Menu button twice on your Bell remote.
  • Press Power on your receiver and then press the up arrow button.

On the System Info screen, take note of the receiver and SmartCard numbers.

Note: The receiver number starts with R while the SmartCard number starts with S. You only need the first 10 numbers that appear after R and S.

Activate the receiver and SmartCard in MyBell.

a. Log in to MyBell to manage your equipment directly.

b. Scroll down the page and select Activate a receiver.

c. Enter the receiver and SmartCard numbers.

d. Select Submit. The activation is complete.

Please provide them with all of the details as mentioned in your note & if you can not resolve your problem with the online representative, by all means ask to speak to their manager.

If the information you are providing to them online is accurate, then it is now up to Bell Satellite to resolve this matter.
