If your signal problem is only happening to 1 receiver and your other ones are fine, then you know its not the dish. Dish signal issues will impact all the receivers at the same time...
If the signal problem you are having is with only 1 receiver.....it can be either you receiver, your cable or switches. The easiest way to find out if its your receiver, is switch the location of your trouble receiver and put it in the location of a working receiver. If the problem continues to happen to the trouble receiver in the new location.....then you know its the receiver....If the problem does not continue on the trouble receiver....then you know its fine and the problem is with the cable or switches.

Hey @Tasha22. Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Bell Community.
Which TV receiver are you using & is it happening on all the receivers in your home?
Signal loss may occur if the dish is unable to have a clear view of the sky, so large trees/leaves can certainly be the culprit. If that's the case it is recommended that the leaves/branches around the dish are trimmed so you can obtain a strong signal. Another option is to relocate the dish to prevent this type of issue from reoccurring in the future.

Hey @Wakka197, thanks for your post. In order for the Community to help we need a few more details.
- How long has this been occurring?
- Is this happening on all the channels that you watch, or a certain station?
- Have you tried rebooting your receiver?
Keep us posted.

I had the same problem....the signal would cut out randomly sometimes and other times it worked. When i got fed up i called a technician who said a tree near the dish and during high winds it could move branches enough to interfere with the dish. It didnt make sense because the tree was there when i installed the dish 5 years ago and it didnt look like it was blocking the dish. He let me know trees can grow 1-2 feet every year. He gave me the option of trimming the tree or moving the dish and i decided to move the dish. My problem was fixed and never had signal issues again.
Easy way to narrow down the problem is check if its happening to all receivers on the same channel at the same time......if it is, that means the problem is not the receiver but either the dish alignment or the LNB but most likely dish because when LNB stops working it usually cuts all signal to the receivers permanently and not cut in and out.

Are the receivers good or are there glitches . I called bell and lost satalite signal it was not the dish it was the box . I checked the one upstairs and it just a reciver and it was working . And sometimes the tuner will only work 1 tuner and there two when recording and it programmed for two to record if I stop one recording it then start recording but shows it was . And when it resets like starting up screen is going up and disappear and shows up again three times . It been a problem . Get a new reciver . Have other people had this problem or just me .

Yeh it was funny I had two days ago problem with it cutting out and there was snow coming down then stopped but lots of fog so I decided to check other reciver and it was working gave it an hour and support talked to and they finally said we send a new box and if it works old one cancel it and guess what it started working don’t know what I did it was working . So I will try your idea and see if it works . Funny 9500 box has been pain sometimes . I have had tuner problem one other person had in forum about 9500 tuner won’t record second one but there only one thing recording where you can have two things . It better than Telus optick tv . Watching hockey it lags see puck go up the ice it a blur but bell . And Shaw oh man it basic cable and up not much he channels . Until last year was not hd . Yeh learned one thing . Want clear picture go bell

Hi there @pooch. Welcome to the Bell Community 🙂
We wanted to check in to see if you're still having trouble?
If so, which channels have you noticed that are searching for satellite signal? Also, what type of receiver are you using, and is the issue occurring on all the receivers?
Another thing to consider is that signal loss can occur if the dish is unable to have a clear view of the sky. Can you see any obstruction on or around the dish?
Keep the Community posted.

Hello,
I had a PVR 9241 in the basement hooked up to one of the 91 outputs on a dpp. On a separate dish with a single LNB I had an old 3100 receiver hooked up. Today I removed the old single LNB dish from the roof and put that cable onto the other 91 port on the dpp to be used at a later time. I moved the PVR 9241 upstairs and removed the old 3100. I made no other changes or adjustments to the dish or LNB. zero signal on Sat 91 and when I do a check switch test it gives a 836 error message saying I now have fewer satellites than previously detected and if I save I will have fewer channels. So for now I only have HD channels and none of the SD channels are working. Any ideas? What the heck happened?

Hey there @dweiss,
Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post and the details included.
It definitely sounds like your Satellite TV wiring set up has been changed. It sounds like a technician will be required to get your service back up and running.
Let us know if you still need assistance.
