Slim remote not working with Streamer.

So, a few months ago I joined up to Bell Fibe, originally, just for CP24 and TSN. They sent me a small "Streamer" and a simple Remote (no numbers, nothing fancy), and everything was fine. Then, I felt like I wanted CNN as well, and when I went to pick channels, it said I could pick "X" many for $5.00 more.....so I chose "Hollywood Suite", which is great. Then, I learned that "Hollywood Suite" has a free "On Demand" button, which I didn't see on the Guide. So, I communicated with Hollywood Suite and they suggested I speak to Bell, so, I did. Bell said I would need the special "Slim" Remote which I would have to buy myself. I went looking on E-bay and finally found one for $42.00.....came with a simple one page "Pairing" instruction, though, the Remote itself has MANY different buttons. I followed the instructions (a few times), got it to turn the TV on and off, however, nothing in the "Fibe" works whatsoever. NOTHING ! Yes, I have rebooted the "Streamer" a few times. Does anyone have a clue as to what's going on?
I don't think phoning Bell will solve my problem and would hate wasting a day by the phone for nothing.

The Slim Remote will not work with the Bell Streamer, as the Bell Streamer has a specific remote. We'd recommend returning the Slim Remote if possible, as it's not compatible. We'd also recommend checking out our support article How to browse the Movies and Shows sections with the Bell StreamerOpens in a new tab or window. If you select the "channels" option, look for "Hollywood Suite" in the list, select it and then it will show the Video On Demand content available.

Thank you for your reply. Since I ordered the "Slim" remote from E-bay, it is far too much of a hassle to return it....and usually the return postage makes is cost prohibitive. My issue is NOT with Hollywood Suite, it's channels, or daily movies......I can see those fine on the Bell Guide that is in the Streamer........My issue is ONLY with the so-called "Video on Demand" (VOD) channel or button that is supposed to be available to me since I ordered Hollywood Suite.

That's it.......I'm only looking for "Video on demand".

Bell doesn't want me to have it.
