Using Fibe app on fire tv stick 4K max … how to enter a specific channel number?

I’ve recently switched to Bell Fibe tv and have a fire stick on one TV.  The fire stick has the Bell Fibe app.   Is there a way to directly select/enter a channel number vs scrolling through the list of channels and selecting the one I want?  I find this frustrating.   What am I doing wrong/missing?

thx

There is no method of directly selecting / entering a channel on the Fire stick 4K. Instead of scrolling through all of the channels in the Guide, may I suggest making some changes in your settings that will  eliminate most of your scrolling for channel selection.

Go to > Settings on the main menu. Go to > My Preferences. Personalize your preferences. Eg. Select > Subscirbed, > Favourites, > Language  > English or French > Quality > etc. Use the Back out  arrow to return to previous screen.

Next > Go to > Availability Filters next > Select available on this device. Use the Back out  arrow to return to previous screen.

Go to Manage Favorites > Select or deselect your Favorite channel numbers. Use the Back out  arrow to return to previous screen. Use the Back out  arrow to return to previous screen.

Scroll back up the Guide & you will see a significant reduction in the number of channels that you have available to scroll through for selection.

You can buy a Bell Streamer (less than $80 from The Source) and use a Fibe TV remote, either Bluetooth Slim or Voice is ok at least.

Thanks guys for the feedback. Much appreciated.

@AlexS have you or a friend successfully used a Bell streamer with one of the remotes mentioned?  I picked up a streamer today and next step is a remote, so wanted to double-check this info before making another purchase.

Yes, I have both remotes come with full-fledged Fibe tv service & all of them can have working # buttons after being paired to the smallest Bell box. But I’m not sure if Bell would sell these longer remotes to Streamer users. I have these because I migrated to the dvr plans.

Is there a way to go to previous channel  with firetv remote on Bell Fibe?
