Hi! My husband keeps adding channels without noticing all the time, we have a package deal on Fibe, and when he adds extra channels, it's expensive! Is there a way that I can lock the package deal we have , even if he adds extra channels, while he uses the converter.
Thank you
Frustrated housewife!

Good day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
There are any number of things that you can do to restrict purchases & lock channels.
- Customize the channel Guide & remove channels that you do not want to be chosen.
- Set up for Favourite channels.
- Set up Parental Controls with a PIN to lock specific channels, purchases, etc.
I have included the following web link for your review. Open any web browser & follow this link. Once on this site, you will need to select your remote control. The default will be the Fibe TV Voice Remote. If this is not your remote, select change.
Fibe TV Voice Remote (bell.ca)
Everything you need to know to restrict access, purchases & channel viewing will be included within the tutorials. I would suggest that you review each section & then focus on the items I mentioned earlier.
Thank you reaching out to the Bell Community Forum.
Take care.

I can’t figure out how to
lock YouTube so my kids need a password to
use the app on my fibe tv. Or
even how to delete it altogether.

Hi @Ann21
Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the Bell Community 🙂
Parental controls for the YouTube app are separate from those you set on Fibe TV. For more information take a look at the article posted in this Helpful reply
titled What is YouTube on Fibe TV and how do I use it? .

What is YouTube on Fibe TV and how do I use it? is not helpful because it doesn't answer the question asked by @Ann21 or by me over a year ago.
We aren't asking how to filter YouTube content, which is what YouTube Restricted Mode does. We want to know how to completely block access to YouTube altogether on our Bell receivers. As far as I can tell, Fibe TV has no controls for parents who want to block the YouTube app.

Good Day.
Your question is very difficult to answer It is somewhat ambiguous & can be answered in any number of different ways.
If you wish to eliminate the channel, remove it from your Guide. If you do not wish to ever see it again, then go to your remote > Select > Menu & guide > Customize guide > Select to remove Channel 1312. Follow the on-screen instructions & save.
If you are looking to lock it out with a password, then I would follow @BellPatricia advise.
If you wish to have total control…… there are other options. These would restrict viewing in its entirety. & would depend on the device used.
I wish I could offer you more, but there are no other settings that I am familiar with that will stop someone from accessing & viewing this!
Take care.

I apologize for being blunt, but this suggestion is really useless. Deselecting channel 1312 doesn't remove the channel, it just makes the +/- buttons skip it, however you can still select YouTube directly by pressing 1312 or on the apps.
As far as I can see, there is no way to remove YouTube from the channels at all, and there is no way to remove the Youtube app

I apologize, If everything I have suggested does not meet your specific needs. I am not aware of anything else that can be done.
Did you read & follow my earlier instructions? If so, you can delete the channel. If you are looking for something beyond what I am suggesting, then, I am sorry, it is not available, You can try restricting the user & device using the Wi-Fi app. This however is based on restricting the user & or / their device.
I wish there was…… but maybe another more knowledgeable member will be able to figure this out for you & draw a different conclusion to solve your problem.
What you are asking for is not built in & available today….. maybe tomorrow….but not today.
Sorry…..
Take care.

Yes, I did. YouTube isn't a channel, it's an app. The channel is only a mockup that redirects to the app, so even if you could restrict the access to channel 1312, you'd still be able to open the YouTube app, among the apps, so there is no way to restrict the access to it.
Another approach us to disable it: the YouTube app can be disabled in the settings, however anyone can re-enable it as the settings can't be locked with a PIN or other means.
The result is that there is no point in disabling the Youtube app to make it unavailable, as anyone can just enable it back.
