Resolved! Do I need a Bell modem for Fibe home phone?

I cancelled my Bell internet service today. I was told I must keep the Bell 3000 modem for phone. Is this True?Seems strange if I cancelled internet service. Also, if this is true, is there a smaller device that can be ordered for phone?
