Is there a way to expand the 90 minute "pause buffer" limit?

I like to pause the fibe before the hockey starts to skip the commercials but sometimes I get busy and 90 minutes isn't enough. Is there anyone who has found a workaround for this?

TIA

Hey there @HockeyLuvr

Welcome to the Bell community 🙂

Great question! At this time pausing live TV is limited to 90 minutes. After that, the buffer rolls forward and playback resumes automatically, as you've noticed.

While there isn’t a setting to extend this limit, a helpful workaround is to start a recording instead of pausing live TV, which bypasses the buffer entirely and allows you to resume watching whenever you’re ready. You can also set the recording to continue past the scheduled end time, in case the hockey game runs longer than expected.

Try that out, and let the community know how everything turns out.

Hi @HockeyLuvr
If you are subscribed to the Fibe TV App package, you would need to migrate over to our Fibe TV package which will provide you with the Cloud PVR function. In order to migrate to the newer service / package, you would need to contact customer serviceOpens in a new tab or window, as they will be able to provide you with package details and pricing, compared to your current subscription.

I wish I could but I dont have PVR, just the Bell fibe app package. There's no options to add recording capabilities to the app users is there?

Thanks either way.
