Upgraded a line, using the upgrade on another line. How do I swap the SIMs back?

Upgraded today but used new phone for another line as that phone is being fixed. Planned on swapping SIM once I got it back but looks like it auto connect by esim. Now I have to figure out how to get the old phone back with the old SIM. Any ideas?
