I can not use my bell user id and password to sign in global programing . IE . watch TED . WHY ?

I can not use my bell user id and password to sign in global programing . IE . watch TED . WHY ? I just get a weird shell window that appears to be running script to connect but never does. Says loading , but nothing . HELP.
