eSIM and iMessage

I have left Canada and initiated my eSIM card.  It all works EXCEPT iMessage.   I get a “waiting for sctivation” message.   Things I’ve tried….changing passwords, visiting Apple Store ( they said call my Primary provider).  Can you assist??   Thanks
