Good Day & Welcome .
Thank you for posting your question.
When you press record on a live show using Bell Fibe, it records from the exact moment you press the button, rather than the beginning of the program.
However, if you missed the start of a show, you can use the Restart feature to play it from the beginning, provided the channel you select supports it.
Bell Fibe TV's Restart feature lets you play a show currently in progress or one that has aired within the last 30 hours from the beginning.
Keep in mind, restart is not available on every channel or for all programs.

What is Restart and how do I use it? (bell.ca)
Thank you for your question. Enjoy.
Take care.

No I wanted to record it from the beginning not from where I hit record. It used to do that but now it doesn't.
I watch something and think I want to record to watch with someone later but it doesn't record from the beginning like it used to...

Good Day @lilsal
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to go back and record a program from the beginning.
Restart programs cannot be recorded. However, for shows in progress, you can go back to live TV and record the show from that point on.
Take care.

Yes that's the point - I used to be able to record the full program if I hit record not just from when I hit record....
There were 2 scenarios:
1. I started watching a program from the begnning and mid-way through I decide I want to record I hit record and it recorded from the beginning of the show.
2. I was watching, then changed to another channel, came back and started recording then it only recorded from the point I hit record.
I wanted the first scenario back so I could record the show from the beginning if I started watching the show from the beginning....
That was so useful since I start watching something then realize I want to record that program to watch with my husband later - we used to be able to do that before but now we can't and is frustrating.... why did that have to change? So any program I'm watching and decide I want to record that whole show - there's no way.....

Good Day.
Thank you for your input and feedback. Your suggestion is definitely worth consideration.
The Bell developmental team continually monitors this website looking at ways, means & alternatives to improve your viewing experience.
As I mentioned in an earlier reply to your question, it is not possible to go back and record a program from the beginning.
I do not work for Bell. Whether it is even feasibly possible to do what you are asking for in a future enhancements, is something that cannot be answered on this website.
Take care.

Thank you for your responses and insight. Really appreciate it. Hope that someone sees this because it used to be able to do that. Sometimes watching the news and it was a good story and I want to save it to show my husband who isn't home, it was great to be able to just record it and show him. Or a movie I'd start watching and decide later to want to watch the whole thing with him when he gets home - used to use this all the time.
Hope Bell will see this and give us options. Even the option of "record from the beginning after watching a bit".
Thanks again.
