I have a Google Pixel 7 phone and was accessing my Sympatico email through Outlook without issues for four weeks. Now, when I tap the Outlook icon I get a Sign in prompt for my sympatico email address. When I enter my password nothing happens. It returns to the previous Sign in prompt. I reset my phone which cleared the problem for a couple of hours. Now it's prompting me to sign in again, without success. I am still able to log in through Chrome, Edge, and my Samsung Email app on my S7 Galaxy.

Try the following: 1. Remove the Outlook app.2.Do hard boot of your phone. 3. Log back in. 4.Clear your saved password history. 5. Remove the Email account. 6. Restart. 7. Reinstall the app. 8.Setup the account account once again.

I have removed Outlook from my phone and added my Bell email to my GMail app.

Does anyone know the secret to getting Bell email to work on Outlook for Android? A couple of years ago after much struggle I got it working but after a recent update Oulook cannot reach the Bell server (for that matter, neither can Gmail reach the Bell server). The instructions on the Bell site don't work and Bell support is less then useless. All they will say is use Bell webmail, which is so primitive it's like requiring me to use Netscape! Any ideas?

Have you looked at the manufacture’s web site? Have you done a search to see if other Android users have the same issue? Another place to look is through searching Microsoft’s own support pages. Third party pages can also be a good place to look for solutions. Bell itself does not support third party apps. Bell staff merge topics with common themes so that users can more easily find solutions from other users or, if applicable, from Bell. Good luck in your search.

Not sure why my response disappeared, but I'll give it another go...
It's interesting that I have no issue accessing two other mail servers I use regularly. The issue exists only with Bell. Two years ago I found a solution, on this forum I believe, but now cannot locate it and so far have received only unhelpful advice intended to make me go away. Tough luck for me.
Thanks, Bell!

Thank you for the details. Have you reconfirmed that your account and login settings are accurate in Outlook? Have you compared them with your other two mail servers? It is possible that Outlook itself is broken, following recent updates? This is not uncommon with Microsoft updates. Have you explored that possibility?

Yes, I have confirmed that my login info is correct. The update in question was a Bell update triggered when I switched to a e-sim while travelling and then switched back to the Bell sim card.

I went through something similar two years ago when I upgraded my phone and the solution then was some variation of Bell's standard IMAP settings. But I don't remember what that was, or where I can find it now.

Thanks for that clarification. So this was not an Outlook update? Bell does not update anything on your phone, however. Operating system software updates come from the manufacturer or Google Play it the App Store, not Bell. This sounds more like a SIM card issue. Have you explored that?

When you switch between sim cards settings definitely change when one switches to a full device sim card rather then data only. Usually I am able to click something that says don't switch but this time something popped up saying something along the lines "switching to Bell". That's when the problems began. It's definitely Bell related.

It seems to have wiped out some previous setting.

Thank you for the clarification. Is it possible that the APN file is corrupted? This is deep, deep in your settings, but can you confirm that the APN settings are correct? You can find the settings here .

I'll check that. Is this for mobility phone service? I'm currently in Argentina using an esim for data only. Changing to my bell sim costs $16 a day.

My current apn is for the esim. But that shouldn't affect mail should it?
