Confirm technicians arrival

After three days of 8 chats and three on-line experts I have secured a visit by a Bell technician but have no clue when they will knock at the door. After 50 years of being a Bell customer at my Toronto address and 30 years at my cottage and paying $80/ month for Home-Lite corded phone service at both locations I do not have a dial tone unless I plug a corded phone into Tel 1 or Tel 2 on my home modem. None of the five cordless phones have a dial tone which is useful if you are almost 80 years old on th second floor, basement or in the back or front yard. A triple by-pass slows you down or having a knee replaced. the virtual repair app is a joke especially at the cottage with one bar cell service. Is it too much to ask for an email confirmation so that I do not have to hang around. I got a phone call from th cardiac surgeon when my triple by pass was scheduled to the day and hour. If he phoned now I would probably miss the call.

Hey there @Taavi1

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell community 🙂

We understand your frustrations and we do want to help as best as we can.

Did you already receive confirmation of the date when your appointment is scheduled? When you book an appointment you will receive three notifications (either by text or email depending on the preference you selected when you booked the appointment). And, once the technician is on the way, you will receive a notification where you can check the estimated arrival time.

Notifications:

  1. The day before your scheduled appointment, you will receive a reminder where you’ll be able to confirm your availability, or cancel or reschedule your appointment.
  2. A second notification will be sent when the technician is on the way. You will have the ability to check the estimated arrival time.
  3. The final notification is sent once the technician has completed the job. You can return to the tool and rate your experience.

When you book your appointment, you will also receive a unique link to access  the Manage Your Appointment toolOpens in a new tab or window which you can use to manage and review the appointment details.

Please let us know how everything goes with the technician. We are here to help if you need anything else.
