I want to make sure my Sympatico Email is safe!

OK, the title may not explain much about what I need answers to, so here's a better explanation.  My wife and I recently moved to Alberta, from Ontario, where we've lived all our lives.  We've had Sympatico Email address since the beginning of time, or at least 30+ years, and I'm currently still paying for Fibe internet service in order to keep these addresses.  Bell Fibe isn't available in Alberta, so I've now got Telus Fiber Internet. Also, we've kept our Bell Mobility accounts in order to keep our phone numbers, and had a Bell Satellite dish installed for TV. The guy at the Bell store says that our current Sympatico email accounts are now linked to our mobility accounts. I'm not completely sure that he is correct, but I can't afford to keep paying for Internet in Ontario in order to keep our Sympatico email addresses either.  So, can I safely cancel my current Fibe internet account (already closed out our Satellite and Home Phone accounts in Ontario) and not worry that all our emails will be lost and our Sympatico accounts will be closed.

Thanks for any help and suggestions,

Dale Morton

I think they might be wrong.

See here.

Bell email

If cancelling your Bell Internet service: your Bell email address can no longer be used/accessed and all emails will be lost.

If switching from Bell Internet to Bell Mobile Internet: you can transfer your Bell email to your new account. Please request the transfer when cancelling Bell Internet.

So it's not just switching to mobile, but switching to mobile internet which is a different product than a mobility account.

To be 100% sure I would wait until a Bell representative picks up this thread and provides an "official" answer.
