Laggy connection on wifi pods since 20 minutes ago

This issue is only on devices connected to my pods. Anything running on my modem is running perfectly fine. I did all the checks and stuff and everything reports back normal. The issue isn't on my end based on my findings. It's somewhere else. Location is Toronto.

Good Day & Welcome to the Community.

Thank you for posting your question.

We're sorry to hear about the experience you're encountering with your pods. Are you able to share some further information?

A lagging connection with Bell Wi-Fi pods can be caused by poor pod placement, outlet interference, etc.

  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
  • Can you share which model modem you have?
  • If possible, can you test a direct Ethernet connection to the pods to see if you are able to connect when they appear to be Offline?
  • Are the pods plugged into a power bar or extension cord? If they are, please ensure you plug them directly into an outlet without any extensions in between.
  • What is the distance between your equipment (between each pod, and between the pods and your modem. The pods work best when spaced 10-14 meters apart from each other and the modem)?
  • Have you tried removing one (or both) of the pods from your setup to see if the connection improves / to see if you're devices have a decent connection without the pods?

Please note that any time you unplug the Wi-Fi Pods from the power source, it takes up to 24 hours for the pods to complete the optimization process. Additionally, your device's will connect to what they believe is the best possible connection at that time (either the pod or the modem).

We recommend trying out the Wi-Fi check up tool to check and optimize your Wi-Fi connection. Take a look at this How To article for more information Ensure optimal home Wi-Fi connection with the Wi-Fi Checkup Tool

Take care.
