Parental Controls – Unblocking YouTube for one person unblocks all

I have youtube blocked on some of my gigahub "people" devices group, but the problem is if I unblock it for a specific one they all unblock. But blocking it again, I have to do it for each "people". Why unblocking apply to all while selecting only one group?

Good Day & Welcome.

Thank you for posting your question.

You can manually approve or block specific websites or IP addresses:

  1. Go to Guard Events in the app.
  2. You can modify Guard events by approving or blocking an IP address or website.

  3. To modify a Guard event:

    1. Touch Guard Events.
    2. Touch + button (top right corner).
    3. Touch the desired action:

      • Touch Approve/Block website and enter the full URL of the website to modify.
      • Touch Approve/Block IP addresses and enter the IP address to modify.
    4. Confirm what device or person the new Guard event rule will be applied against.
    5. Touch Add.

Note: You should only need to enter it once and then select which devices or user profiles it applies to.

Take care.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, it will help for multiple group blocking. Still, I tried again and to unblock didnt work. I want to temporarely and individually unblock youtube sometimes and even if allowing it to a certain group it unblock for all.

Maybe its a bug in the app?

Hey there @Hugo2

Can you check to see if the device you're unblocking is assigned to the same People profile as the other devices that are being affected? If you temporarily remove that device from the profile, can you unblock YouTube without affecting the remaining devices?
