Bell Mobility does not offer a call control feature or blocking service as a feature for cell phones.
Depending on your device, there is an option to filter unknown callers. This will send them directly to voicemail. The numbers will still appear in your list of callers. You can "Silence Unknown Callers" in your mobile device Phone settings. Please check out the Helpful reply in this Bell Forum thread.
You can also turn on Call Blocking & Identification in your Phone app. For further information, please visit the support page for your mobile device.
Bell has also implemented Universal Network-Level Call Blocking (UNCB) to help protect Canadians against certain types of unsolicited calls. UNCB blocks calls that have blatantly inaccurate Call Display information.
Bell introduced a new suspicious call detection feature in late April 2025. Suspicious call detection uses AI analytics to monitor incoming calls in real time, and it alerts you about potential spam or fraud. When you receive a call from a suspicious and unknown phone number, your device will display a warning label to help you decide whether to answer:
- Likely Fraud – calls deemed highly suspicious and fraudulent
- Possible Spam – calls that appear suspicious but are more likely to be categorized as unsolicited.
- You should exercise caution when answering calls with these labels.
Suspicious call detection is a self-evolving analytical engine, and the accuracy will continue to improve over time.
