High speed Mobile Internet data limit shortage

Hello I was wondering if anybody has been advised that they’ve reached their maximum high speed data limit only to still have 5 GB of high speed left yet they put you on slow speed? That just happened to me and it really put me in a difficult position for a few days cause I had timed it out perfectly and then I could not make my phone to the capacity I needed to. Thank you for listening.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Thank you for posting your question.

Bell Mobility sends text messages when you reach 95% of your plan's data limit. Once you exceed your high-speed data, speeds drop significantly. You can track your data usage, including roaming usage, in MyBell and the MyBell app.

To check your mobile usage and manage your data options, visit:bell.ca/mobilityusage

To avoid a similar situation in the future, you can also set up and customize data usage alerts for your Mobility service in your MyBell account.

  1. Log in to your MyBell web account.
  2. Select > My profile.
  3. Select > MyBell profile.
  4. Scroll down & select > Mobility Service.
  5. Scroll down the right side of the page until you reach "Usage notifications" section & select > Edit.
  6. You can now choose on how and when you receive your usage notifications. E.g. 75%, 90% or 100%, By email & Online in your browser.

Data usage thresholds and text message notifications

What are online usage notifications?

Take care.

The response to my question just insults my intelligence. It doesn’t even answer my question. I am paying for 200gb not 195gb so I expect to get the total 200gb I’m paying for. I get notifications, however the only one I received is telling me I’ve reach my high speed data limit. It’s Bell that made a technical mistake. I’m asking if anyone else has experienced this at all. Mistakes happen and I understand that and I understand all programs as I have 4 phones I manage through Bell.
