Good Day & Welcome

This can be a result of a few different things, however the majority of the time it's simply due to your phone randomly disconnecting from the network.

Have you tried to restart your phone? It sounds simple but sometimes turning your phone off and on is all you need for a fresh connection to the network. Make sure your phone is on the most up-to-date operating system.

Verify these basic settings on your device:

  • Turn airplane mode on and then off.
  • Turn Wi-Fi off to ensure you're testing the mobile network.
  • Make sure mobile data connectivity is enabled.
  • Check that your network mode is set to automatic.
  • Confirm you have network coverage in your current location.
  • Ensure you haven’t used all of your monthly data or exceeded your maximum speed data limit.

If none of these steps' work, you may need to get a little more technical. These steps can vary depending on your phone model.

Are you in a location where you might be able to have access to a Wi-Fi network? If you can obtain a mobile signal from within your location and or a nearby location & you have access to a Wi-Fi network, you may be able activate Wi-Fi calling on your mobile device.

Take care.

Both of my phones lost connection to Bell network. My bill were paid on time and service is not suspended (I checked in my account). Bell support told me they will raise a ticket and it can take up to 5 days to resolve. Why cannot they just turn it on?

Good Day & Welcome.

Thank you posting your concern. It is not quite as simple as that.

Without knowing all of the details and factors affecting your mobility service lost connectivity, it is next to impossible for me to speculate on the cause & the amount of time it may take to restore your service.

You did the right thing by contacting Bell Mobility Tech support. The service representative was unable to resolve the problem and opened up a trouble ticket for further investigation.

If both of your Bell phones have lost service, the fastest way to check for a widespread local network issue is to use a working Wi-Fi connection to check the Bell Service Outage Checker or  consult Downdetector - Bell Canada outages

If there are no reported outages in your area, you can troubleshoot the issue by following these steps:

  • Completely power off both phones, wait 30 seconds, and turn them back on to force a reconnection to the nearest cell tower.
  • Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds and turn it back off.
  • Wi-Fi Calling: If cellular service is down, enable Wi-Fi calling in your mobile settings to allow your phones to make and receive calls over your home internet.
  • As a last resort, if this issue persists, go to your device's settings, select: Reset Network Settings or if you are using an iPhone: Transfer or Reset iPhone for Apple devices. This will erase custom system preferences, removes saved Wi-Fi passwords, wipes Bluetooth pairings, etc. Before doing this, you should familiarize yourself with the configuration defaults that are reset for your specific device. This does fix most network connection issues.
  • Contact Bell Mobility Tech Support.

Take care.

They are going to “turn it on” for you. It just takes 5 days to find the switch!! LOL.

I jest, of course. And sometimes, that is the only solution. Make sure you have gone through the other posts here to eliminate any issues from your side.
