TV guide airing times not aligned - Marshals started at 8:50 but the guide said 8:30

Why is the TV guide out of synch with the time. Eg:  Marshals started at 8:50 but the guide said 8:30. Tracker supposed to start at 9:30 but actually started at about 9:50. So the PVR is only recording parts of shows.

Good Day & Welcome.

Thank you @DonnaL for posting your question.

The main reason the guide on Bell Fibe TV or Bell Satellite TV is incorrect during sports seasons is that broadcasters supply scheduling data weeks in advance, and live sports are naturally unpredictable.

The NFL - Denver Broncos at San Francisco game was scheduled to run between 4:25 - 7:30 pm.  60 Minutes was scheduled to run thereafter, followed by Marshals.

The NFL game went into extra time. CBS decided to continue the NFL game & delay the start of 60 Minutes & Marshals by 20 minutes.

This decision was made by CBS not by Bell. Decisions such as this are not uncommon during the sports seasons on the major networks.

Bell does not control the actual timing; they simply ingest metadata directly from Canadian and U.S. television networks.

Take care.

Hi @DonnaL
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
We're sorry to hear about the experience you've encountered and we wanted to check in to see if you're still having trouble? If so, can you share some further information?

  • Are you able to share which television service you subscribe to (Fibe TV, Fibe TV app or Satellite)?
  • Which receiver model do you have (if applicable):
  • Is this only happening on a specific station or have you noticed if it's happening on multiple and can you share which station(s)?

Looking forward to hearing back.

I have Bell Satellite TV. I only just noticed last night it was on channel 282 CBS-E.  It seems to be OK this morning

Hi @DonnaL
Thank you for the information and we're glad to hear it's working correctly. Should the issue come back, please let us know.
