Good Day.

In most situations, the process I provided to you previously should work. You mentioned that your SIM was damaged? Was your device damaged as well?

Based on the limited details provided by you, it is unclear to me as to why you cannot activate your SIM card. Are you located in Canada?

It may have something to do with your account, mobility plan, device, or the steps that I mentioned for you to take earlier

if I were you, I would heed the advice provided by the support center & visit a Bell Mobility store location. They are better equipped to assist you in determining the probable cause.

I wish I understood. They sent me a replacement card that I used right away.  What is confusing is the account agent telling me it would not need the text validation if I ordered a second line.  All of my services,.TV, internet are Bell.  Going to the store is difficult.  I'm dealing with complications from a long standing health problem. At the moment I am hooked up to an IV at home 16 hours a day.  Nurses come twice a day to set it up.   I've sent a message to management.  I find it hard to believe there isn6a way to make this work.

I really appreciate your quick and clear responses.

Thanks for her responding so quickly.  I tried these steps. It all worked until I had to get a verification code by text.  Unfortunately I can't get to a store right now.  The original damaged happened when I was in the hospital.  The a glass of OJ spilled.  I'm home but can't go out right now. Not sure how long it will be until I can go to the store.   I spent alot of time on the phone with support and accounts.  They tried but couldn't come up with a solution. I am surprised that there isn't a back up option.  I know that I am not the only person with a disability or a senior who has difficulty getting to a store.

Thanks

Hello,

I am travelling right now outside Canada ,and I have lost my SIM card during the travel as I wanted to use my other SIM card (Saudi ) . Can I get a SIM card when I comeback after 2 months and temporary suspend the account ? If I can new sim card and same number when I comeback …. And not pay the monthly fees as I cannot order new SIM card now as I am travelling

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

We cannot seasonally suspend your account on the Bell Community Forum. This is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account & billing details.

Which mobility plan do you subscribe to? Is this a Monthly plan or a Prepaid plan? Are you on a SmartPay 2 yr. rate plan? Have you reviewed your mobility agreement? Prepaid customers cannot temporarily suspend their mobile service.

If you have a SmartPay 2-yr contract, you are still responsible for the monthly SmartPay payments even if your Bell Mobility service is suspended.

Depending on your plan & your mobility agreement you may not be able to suspend your service

A suspension of your services does not equate to a stoppage in billing. A one-time suspension charge of $49 will be applied to your next bill. Monthly service charges will be prorated within 1–2 billing cycles.

Yes, you can order a new SIM or eSIM replacement card when you return.

You will need to contact Bell Mobility Customer Service Accounts & Billing if you wish to suspend your mobility service. Please call1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.

Thank you for contacting the Bell Community Forum.

Take care.

Contacting Bell when travelling abroad

You can contact Bell while travelling abroad using the following numbers:

Note: the "+" represents the international dialling code. To get the "+" symbol on your mobile phone, hold the 0 key for a few seconds until "+" appears on the screen.

Whether dialing from a mobile phone or landline, this is how to call the US or Canada from Europe:

  1. Dial 00, Europe's international access code, or enter + from any mobile phone.
  2. Dial 1, the country code for the US and Canada.
  3. Dial the phone number, including area code.

For example if you want to call this Canadian number from Europe: 1-123-456-7890, you would dial the number as follows:

Calling from a landline you would dial: 00-1-123-456-7890

Calling from a mobile phone you would dial :+-1-123-456-7890

Take care.

Am I able to get a new Sim card without my ID's?

My ID and my cell phone were taken from my car, when I was in the hospital.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum

Have you reported the theft of your cell phone?

If your mobile phone, tablet or mobile internet device is lost or stolen, it can be added to a national list for stolen mobile devices. Adding a device to the list will prevent it from being used on Bell’s network, and the networks of all service providers in Canada.

You should also contact Bell Mobility & have them transfer your service to another device. Please call: 1 800 667-0123 or dial*611 from any Bell mobile device.

Details on what to do can be found in the support section that i have included below.

How to add my device to the national list for lost or stolen mobile devices

Do you have access to the Internet with a web browser?

You can use MyBell to transfer to a new SIM card or eSIM.

If you want to replace a lost, stolen or defective SIM card, or convert your physical SIM card to an eSIM on your current device, you can do so easily through the self-serve methods below without visiting a Bell store.

If you have a new SIM card, take note of the 20-digit number printed on it.

  1. Update your SIM card now. You’ll be asked to log in to MyBell before you can complete the next steps.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, enter your IMEI1 number for a SIM card transfer or IMEI2 number for an eSIM transfer.
  3. For eSIM, set up your eSIM as prompted on your device. For a SIM card, insert the new SIM card into your device.

Let us know if you should require further assistance.

Take care.
