Any reason download speed could drop from 500mbps to 20mpbs?

Usually my download speed is 500mbps today it is 20mbps and some times drops to 10 or 8 . I have reset the modem twice no difference what’s going on to have such slow service ?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
There are many different reasons why your download speed could drop. Some examples being technical issues, outages, maintenance, server traffic, etc..). Are you still experiencing this issue currently? If so, can you share some further information?
Which model modem do you have?
Which internet plan do you subscribe to?
Where are you performing a speed test? If through a third party speed test tool, please try a speed test directly through your modem GUI / Wi-Fi app and once done, can you share the results?
We would also recommend trying out our Virtual Repair Tool
. It is great for remotely detecting and resolving issues.
