Good Day & Welcome.

Thank you for posting your question.

A “Sonim H500 Mobile Hotspot” is not Bell Internet. It is a Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot device. Do you currently have a Bell webmail email account linked to a Bell Internet or Bell Mobility plan with data?

You can keep your Bell webmail email account provided you meet the following criteria:

  1. Your email address must remain under the same MyBell account with either Internet or Mobility service attached to the account.
  2. You are able to continue to use it as long as it is maintained on an active account.
  3. You will need to maintain a Bell Internet account or a Bell Mobility account device with data such as a Turbo Hub, Turbo Stick or MiFi on a continuous basis."

Do you meet all of these criteria? If so, then you should discuss this further with a Bell Customer Service representative.

"You need to do this prior to making any changes that would affect your Bell email account & internet service." This cannot be completed after the service is disconnected.

If you cancel your Internet account & you do not have an active mobility data account or related service attached at the time, then your Bell webmail email account would be closed & cannot be reopened & activated. Once it is closed, there is no method to retrieve any of the information you may have stored on Bell's webmail server.

If you wish to contact Bell, you can use their Chat services or you can call: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or for a mobility postpaid account: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.

Let us know.

Take care.

  • Just wondering if its possible  to attach your sympatico email account to a mobility account if you plan on moving  away from bell as an internet provider.

Good Day and Welcome.

Thank you for posting your question.

Without knowing all of the specific details, I will do my best to answer your question.

You cannot keep your Bell email address if you fully cancel your Bell Internet or qualifying data service, unless it is actively transferred to another active Bell Internet or Bell Mobility data account beforehand.

Are both of these services connected on the same MyBell - One Bill account?

You can keep your Bell webmail email account provided you meet the following criteria:

  1. Your email address must remain under the same MyBell account with either Internet or Mobility service attached to the account.
  2. You are able to continue to use it as long as it is maintained on an active account.

You can request to transfer your @Bell.net or @Sympatico.ca email address to another active Bell account, but this must be arranged before you cancel your original service.

If you wish to contact Bell, you can use their Chat services or you can call: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or for a mobility postpaid account: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.
