Connecting Bell fibre directly to UDM SE with SFP+ and PPPoE

Has anyone connected directly to their router with an SFP and PPPoE or another method?  I'm looking for the right 10Gig SFP, but I'm not sure what one to get

I have a Ubiquitiy UDM SE gateway/router.  Currently I have a 10 Gig SFP+ to RG45 with a patch between it and the HH4K's 10G RJ45 port.  I'd like to eliminate the HH4K and go direct if possible.

It seems that each piece of equipment behaves differently (HH4000, FW:2.14, Location: QC )

• ER-4 - Experiences packet loss with DHCP and double NAT, but works fine with ADMZ. However, after a modem reboot, I need to reset ADMZ; otherwise, packet loss occurs.
• UCG-Fiber - Works reliably with DHCP and double NAT. ADMZ also functions correctly, but only when PPPoE is configured. No VLAN settings are required.
• HH3000 (used) - I extracted ONT from it, but I haven’t been able to get it working at all. At this point, I suspect the unit may simply be defective.
  
  Update: Solution could be It looks like ONT needs to be activated for account.

Connecting Bell fibre CABLE directly TO A SFP+ INTO THE UDM DREAM MACHINE and PPPoE TO CONNECT TO MY ACCOUNT.
IVE READ THAT IM IN MONTREAL NORTH AND i should be able to use the bell fiber since installed more then 5 year ago with user and pass with PPPoE directly from the fiber cable bypassing the hub 4000 which do not have a bridge mode at all  im just unsure of which sfp+ to use and if this will work or if there any other way to make this work with this ubiquity machine since this is controlling everything in my shop my camera my access and all plz advise me on the best route trough hub 2.0 or fiber direct

Easiest is to connect the UDM Pro to one of the gigabit ports on the home hub. It should work with double NAT.

You cannot take the fiber cable and connect it to some random SFP+ module. That will for sure not work.

i did not test it yet but ive been told that it work with different module if the fibre is 5 year old then bell has to let other system use it with the right user and pass which i have 

there mention of some other tool to connect the fibre trough something from micronik i think ive seen in the conversation some where 

ive seen picture of the setup direct with ubity and fibre cable on the 10 g port

Never heard of the 5 year rule, I doubt there's such a thing.

Some people use a SFP+ to ethernet convertor, which could be a Mikrotik or other brand.

Double NAT: Double NAT. 

Despite all the apparent problems it causes I saw no difference with or without it. A lot will depends on the router used, but the UDM Pro will have no lack of processing power to avoid network slowdowns.

the ubiquity the one i have it good for 10 gig in and out and up to 96 10 gig connection with a switch prb is all my camera and the computer are all configured trought this and since it a new install i will have a 2.0 hub that doest no do brige mode at all thinking of maybe finding a hub 1.0 so i can use the bell modem in bridge mode to be sure it work corectly that my biggest stress cuz i have a similar setup at my hope and it would not connect with my router if it did the speed was 300-*500 max out of 3 gig

There is no bridge mode for Bell modems that are using PPPOE.

The UDM Pro will struggle to keep high speed PPPOE work well. It has known limits with PPPOE, often resulting in poor speeds.

If you are using it directly over an ethernet port without PPPOE it will work much better.

yes i can confirm that hub 1.0 has build in bridge mode in those but was later removed from bell but those old unit could be reactivated

and there a way to connect directly to the fiber cable with a modified spif model was-110 with bell hub fakery

You cannot connect the Bell fiber cable directly into a standard 10G SFP+ port on your router. Bell uses proprietary GPON/XGS-PON authentication, and their fiber is connected via a specialized SC/APC optical connector. To connect your own router via SFP+, you must connect to the 10G port on Bell's Giga Hub.

yes i can confirm that hub 1.0 has build in bridge mode in those but was later removed oh and i found something that mimick the home hub with a spif +custom soft on a was-110 hacked to be the bell hub 8-)
