Back in the summer of 2024, they dug up lawns on my street, and installed optic lines. I've had a coil sitting beside my house for that long. I keep getting told fibe isnt available at my residence. When I had a rep escalate my concern, I had an email back a week later and saying its expected to be 2028
does this seem normal to anyone?

Good Day & Welcome.
Thank you for posting your question and raising your concern.
This is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to this type of information. We are not privy to Bell's fibre design, engineering, placement & activation scheduling.
Bell does not publish public rollout schedules for their Fibe (FTTH) network. This type of rollout & placement information is not available on this site.
We can only provide you with the best available information at our disposal.
I wish there was something further I could do for you by offering up an alternative solution.
Internet services vary by location. You can enter this web link: Pure fibre Internet | Bell Canada into any web browser. Scroll down the page to: “Enter your address” to see services available to you. (Do not log in to MyBell!)

Thank you for your question. I can appreciate your frustration. I suggest you keep trying the Bell Internet page to determine what is available to you. Once fibre is available, you can arrange for installation. As this is a peer to peer forum, we have no way of knowing any details of Bell's fibre rollout in a particular area.

I was just wondering if anyone else has similar experiences in having lines and then waiting a long . time to have access to it.

Thank you for the clarification. My own experience with the fibre installation is about 2 years old.
One summer, a Bell contractor did all the excavating on the street for below ground vaults and ran the cable to the house, leaving a large roll of fibre optic cable at the utility entrance. Within a month, another contractor hooked up all the fibre and connected it to the Central Office. Then I waited. One day, Bell called me to upsell me to Crave. I politely cut off the sales rep saying that unless they offered me fibre, I was not interested. They asked if they could book an installation appointment. I had fibre installed within a week. The overall time from digging to installation was about four months. I still don't have or want Crave.

I’d like to raise a service availability and quality issue affecting my street in Brossard, QC (postal code area J4Y).
Bell Fibre is not available here — Fibe (DSL-based) is the only option offered. On top of the lack of a fibre rollout, we’re experiencing ongoing speed and latency problems, and I’ve been told the central distribution panel (CO/cabinet) serving our street is already at full capacity, with no room left for additional lines or upgrades.
Despite repeated complaints from residents in the area over an extended period, no visible action has been taken to expand capacity or bring fibre to the neighborhood.
I’d appreciate clarification on:
1. Whether there is any current or planned timeline to bring Fibre to this street.
2. Whether an upgrade to the central panel is planned, given it’s reportedly full.
3. What the proper escalation path is within Bell to get this formally addressed.
I’ll send my exact address and account details by private message to a moderator/agent, as I’d rather not post it publicly. Thanks.

I appreciate the response, but I’d like to know how I can actually be heard on this. Bell is the only provider available here, and there’s no investment happening in this area. Today the service is terrible — so much so that many people are even switching to satellite internet instead, despite being long-time Bell customers.

yeah its bad im sure.. ive looked at different addresses in my area and about a 1/3km away fibe is there.. I have a bell box in my lawn with optic cables inside and a hub.. its been there 2 years...
currently paying 140/month for home hub or whatever its called. my kids mom lives barely over a km away and has fibe for 85/month.. not only is her internet way faster, but considerably cheaper too.. I call and ask if they can reduce my costs and all I can get is like $15/cheaper on a 2 year agreement
youd think bell would want a return on investment for installing the lines
