Hello. Thank you for diverting the spoof email. However, I still have 2 wee little problems associated with this.
- When I send email to myself (I like to send reminders to myself) the message goes to junk.
- When I send email to gmail recipients, they are still getting warnings."Be careful with this message. Gmail could not verify that it actually came from xxxxx@sympatio.ca. Avoid clicking links, downloading attachments......."
Would there be any way to fix this? The Gmail folks won't open the email and I have to use my gmail account to communicate with them. Thank you again.

If you find you're unable to email yourself; you may have added @Bell.net or @sympatico.ca to your block list.
You can remove that entry by going through your webmail settings: Settings wheel from the top right > Mail > Scroll down to Block Senders > Review blocked senders and remove either @Bell.net and/or @sympatico.ca

I posted earlier that I could not communicate with my daughter who has gmail account.
I finally went to blocked list. Her email address was in the list.! I removed it and the problem is solved.
I have no idea how it got on the blocked list.

I accidentally added a common domain name to my email blocked list. How do I access this list to remove the domain from the list?

Thank you. I thought the blocked senders only contained full email addresses, but I did find the domain there that I needed. And unblocked it! Thank you.

I'm new to using this community tool, but I see I have the same issue that a number of people before me in 2023 have also reported. Anytime I try to SEND MYSELF an email or :BCC myself on an email I NEVER see it in my normal MICROSOFT OUTLOOK 365 InBox. I only see it in my MICROSOFT OUTLOOK 365 SENT and JUNK folders.
I've read the earlier posts to this thread and have tried any suggestions with no success. I didn't have any BLOCKED DOMAINS or IDS in my BELL WEBMAIL's SETTINGS. I even extended the thought by adding to the SAFE SENDERS list a) my own BELL sympatico.ca ID, and for "good measure" the DOMAINS of SYMPATICO.CA and BELL.NET.
QUESTION: Is this still an issue that's being pursued by somebody from the BELL side, as opposed to simply some people in the COMMUNITY asking about it?

Hey there @JohnnyCanuck, thanks for reaching out to the Bell Community.
When you check directly in Bell Webmail using a web browser, are the messages you send to yourself also in the Junk folder?
Does this happen every time you email yourself, or just at certain times?
One thought I do have is to try selecting the messages, and Mark as not spam by clicking the thumb. Then test again to see what happens.

Keep the Community posted.

Yes. I tried to specifically add my ID to the BELL WEBMAIL's SAFE SENDERS id list and still have the same problem.
On my primary email service (Microsoft Office 365 Outlook ... getting fed from my BELL id (xxxx.sympatico.ca) I always end up with the email in either (and I think both) the SENT folder, and the JUNK tolder. I then need to manually move them to my OUTLOOK 365's InBox.
One thing I've noticed though, is that when I do send myself an email, I see my OUTLOOK 365 INBOX flash open instantaneously, then immediately close again as though it was a "false" alarm and I DON'T see any NEW email in my InBox.
But I can still find the email that I sent, in both OUTLOOK's SENT and also JUNK folders. And then I need to MANUALLY move it into my OUTLOOK's INBOX if I want to do anything with it.

One additional thing to note is that I have a very old SYMPATICO.CA email id ... not a BELL.NET email id.
I don't know if there's something in BELL's "backend" processing by the 2 different EMAIL servers that might have something to do with this issue? e.g. in SYMPATICO servers (IMAP & SMTP) ... is email to SELF, treated automatically as SPAM?

I can email myself from sympatico to sympatico no problem.
A friend moved to an apartment and the shaw system they have he had to set up a gmail account instead of the sympatico he had. WE thought it was his issue. Another prson I know in this complex, I called and ask them to send me an email to sympatico, I never got it. I have a gmail account also, had him send to that, back and forth no issue.
I tried sending myself an email from my gmail to sympatico, no dice. didn't receive it.
A long time frind that I hadn't been in touch with for yrs, I was able to get his email and sent him an email from my sympatico account. No answer after a couple of wks I sent again no answer. I just looked up his email, he is on gmail. I just sent him an email from my gmail this morning and expect an answer from him soon.
What's up with Bell and gmail???????????? Jack

Figure I have this ' solved'. I added the contacts that use gmail to my safe senders list and that seeems to work ok. Verified by sending sympatico mail to gmail contacts and asked for an answer. And got it.
The concern I still have if a new contact with gmail tries to contact me, I don't expect to receive their gmail.

HI there @jackd. Thank you for your post.
Are you able to try again and test by having a Gmail domain send you an email to your Sympatico while the user is not marked as a safe sender?
Looking forward to hearing back.

I have hundreds of blocked senders in the ' blocked ; list. I had scanned thru it several times, probably too fast. I went thru the list pg by pg and i did find a ' gmail.com ' in this list which probably blocked my receiving gmail in sympatico. A nice feature would be search option on these pages. My blocked list is big, every day average is probably 8 spam type messages.
