Unable to use VPN configured on my personal router

About a month ago Bell changed their public IP policy with a subnet of /1. As a result this has affected my ability to protect my privacy and use a VPN. I had a VPN configured on my personal router. Previous to this, the configuration worked for a substantial amount of time.

As a result of Bell's changes it now hands out IP's from 128.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.254 theoretically. Any VPN IP's now that fall into that range cannot be configured as a result.

Tried speaking to someone at support and received no help at all. Was given no options was told static IP's are reserved for business customers and they have no control of decreasing the size of their subnets. Basically was told they're not aware of any changes. When I asked to speak to someone more senior I was shrugged off and told that they've already done that. Guess this is the level of support I should expect now.

To my knowledge, Bell does not hand out IP's in the 128.x.x.x range.

Thanks for your concern. Bell does not support customer installed hardware beyond their own hub. I suggest you try some internet forums that might specialize in Bell or in the brand of your router.
