I dont understand why Self Install is an option. I assumed that they checked the signal before they drop of the modem. Is that really too much to ask?
Instead Im on the phone with tech support for an hour to be told that they have to send someone out to check the signal.
I took the day off work for this, and now Im going to have to take another?
I had Rogers connected so I thought I would have overlap in services but they used that line to connect to Bell.
So my planning goes out the window and Im stuck with no Internet because you dropped the modem off and bounced.
This is ridiculous!

Hi @TerinOro
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Self install is an option should a client not wish to have a technician visit for the install and it also avoids an installation fee.
Bell and Rogers do not use the same line or connection points.
When receiving your modem, you would plug the Fibre Optic cord into the Fibre Jack on your wall:
Once you have connected that end, you would connect the other end of the cord into the back of your Bell modem:
After those connections have been made, you would insert the power cord into the back of the modem and then plug it into a wall outlet for power:
