Transferring to a physical SIM Card

Did you get a new Bell SIM card to replace a lost, stolen or defective one? It’s easy to transfer your Bell Mobility service to the new card in MyBell.

You’ll need the 20-digit number printed on the SIM card, then:

  1. Update your SIM card number in MyBellOpens in a new tab or window.
  2. Put the new SIM card in your phone.

That’s it!

Transferring to an eSIM

You can also transfer your service to a new eSIM (embedded SIM) without needing a physical card. You can do this easily through MyBell.

  1. Go to the update SIM card page in MyBellOpens in a new tab or window and log in.
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions.
  3. When prompted, enter your phone's IMEI2 number for an eSIM transfer.
  4. Follow the final prompts on your device to set up and activate your new eSIM.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a mobile plan from a carrier without having to use a physical SIM card. It is built directly into your device.
How do I find my phone's IMEI2 number?
You can usually find your IMEI2 number by dialing *#06# on your phone, or by looking in your phone's 'About' or 'Status' settings. The IMEI2 is specifically for the second SIM slot, which is used by the eSIM.
Will transferring my service to a new SIM or eSIM affect my phone number or plan?
No. This process only moves your existing service, including your phone number and current plan, to a new SIM or eSIM. Nothing about your plan or number will change.
