Good Day & Welcome.

Thank you for reaching out.

In order to connect your Android phone to your RAV4, you will need to remove your iPhone CarPlay connection. To remove or disable Apple CarPlay in a Toyota RAV4, the quickest method is to go to your iPhone's Settings > General > CarPlay, select your RAV4, and tap "Forget This Car". Alternatively, you can disable it via the car's infotainment system by going to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices and removing the phone, or by turning off Apple CarPlay in the app settings.

To add your Android device to your RAV4, you need to establish wireless Android Auto connection:

  • Make sure that your Android Phone has Bluetooth ON
  • On the vehicle’s multimedia screen select Settings (gear icon) > ‘Bluetooth & devices’ > ‘Add another device’ > ‘Search for devices’
  • Select your phone’s name as it appears on list of discovered Bluetooth devices
  • Check your Android phone for prompts and follow instructions on the phone
  • Select “Yes” on the multimedia system when asked if you would like to enable Android Auto
  • Launch Android Auto. You can now use the compatible apps within Android Auto to get directions, make calls, send/receive messages or listen to your favorite music apps.

Please refer to the instructions included in your user manuals provided by Toyota for the model year of your RAV4. If in doubt, you may need to contact your Toyota dealer and or Toyota Customer service support for further assistance.

Take care.
