I've been trying to call Sweden for multipla days, getting a msg saying to first wait while call is being connected then a registration error E164. Call and chatted w 2 agents and one +1h with Bell back support without solution, only to say: "issue is on the receiving side" really !!!
I pay for long distance/international and now my service is not working, this applies to both mobile amd landlines numbers. Multiple operators have same issues; Fizz, videotron and Bell that I'm aware of. All same issues. You would think it would be in the interest of Bell to fix this???!!! I will be requesting a credit and will leave as a customer w this attitude.

Hi there, @Frustrated_july2026. Thanks for reaching out.
- Sweden & Norway: Connection lines are back up and running.
- What to do: Go ahead and place your calls as usual.
- Troubleshooting: If a call still won't go through, try restarting your device or toggling airplane mode.
We're sorry to hear about the confusion. However from your description, it is clear that the issue is on receiving end if it is indeed consistent across landlines and multiple different providers - Fizz uses Rogers' infrastructure, just as Videotron uses their own as well. Landlines of course wouldn't be using the same infrastructure as a smart phone either.
Upon further investigation as well, "registration error E164" most likely indicates an issue that they're unable to parse otherwise international numbers into their own local dialing system. Have you gotten in touch with the person or business you're trying to contact in Sweden or Norway? They will likely need to reach out with their own provider on their end of things for further investigation.
Looking forward to hearing back from you. Best wishes.
