Paperless billing e-mail requesting to change my e-mail address

I have been getting my invoices as e-bills since 2012 but several months ago I also started to get paper invoices bills again. Yesterday I got an e-mail from bell telling me that I will be switched to paperless billing in August and a request to change my e-mail address. Why should I change my email address?
What is going on ?

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell community 🙂

As part of Bell’s continued commitment to reduce its environmental footprint, selected customers will be informed (via email and with a memo on your monthly invoice), and will automatically transition to eBill in August 2026.

We encourage you to review your email address via MyBell just to ensure it is still up to date and make changes if necessary.

You may also be eligible to continue to receive a paper invoice in the mail. For more details check out:  Paper bill eligibilityOpens in a new tab or window

I have exactly the same problem.  When I phone 310Bell, the AI speaker instructs me to enter my phone number.  When I enter the number I have had for decades, the AI speaker says it does not recognize the account.  My cell phone number gets the same result

I have the same issue never received paper bills forever and all of a sudden that you are going paperless I get the paper bills which I never requested so obviously something in the system is wrong. As recommended in this reply to go review your email but it is good and never changed. The link to confirm email asks me to change it which I don’t want to do. I will wait till Aug I guess if I start getting paperless again I guess. Lol
