phone return timeline

Someone else's experience may not be relevant, but still - how long would be a 'normal' interval between receiving my device (by Bell, according to Canada Post's receipt) and the arrival at the warehouse? Where is it stored in the meantime, if not there? Did they lose it, or is this a matter of slow status update? Because it's been more than a week since the delivery, confirmed by CP, and the return status in my account is unchanged: item shipped, not yet received at the warehouse.

Has anyone returned a phone using Canada Post after a Purolator return label was issued? I wasn’t provided a reference number for Canada Post therefore all Bell has is the Purolator reference number and they are saying I didn’t return the phone. The phone was received in the warehouse April 7 and I’m still trying to fix this issue. A ticket number was issued to me over 2 weeks ago. I haven’t heard a thing and they are telling me I have to pay for that phone because it wasn’t returned. A customer service rep named MIA was suppose to call me yesterday as she was handling the issue herself. Guess what, no phone call. I’m at wits end. Has anyone else gone through this?

Good Day & Welcome.

Thank you for posting your question. There is not a lot I can do for you in a situation such as this.

Canada Post does not accept Purolator returns. Can you please provide us with some further information?

  • The reason for the return.
  • How & where did you drop off your device? You mentioned returning your phone to Canada Post using a Purolator return label. Is that correct?
  • Where did you drop your device off? Canada Post or Purolator?
  • Did you use a Canada Post mailbox, postal outlet, or did you use a Purolator outlet / drop off centre?
  • Did you follow the instructions for returning a mobile device to Bell as shown in this weblink tutorial:
  • Returning Bell equipment, including mobile devices, etc.

If you returned your device to a Purolator location, then you should have been given a tracking number & return receipt. Canada Post outlets do not accept Purolator returns. Did you by chance inadvertently drop your return into a Canada Post mailbox by accident?

Have you contacted Canada Post and Purolator to start a parcel trace & investigation?
