I will be going to the USA for two months for a job before returning. I have the BYOD Ultimate US/MEX: 200 GB + Crave Basic Plan. I want to know if this plan has any cap at how much data I can use in the US while I'm there.

Good Day.
You must be (and remain) a Canadian resident and the majority of your usage must be in Canada. Max. data usage per user may be capped at 10 GB/ billing period while in the U.S. and Mexico. Includes texts sent to a Canadian, U.S., or Mexican phone number while in Canada, U.S. and Mexico, texts received while in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico and excludes premium texts. While in the U.S. and Mexico, calls to numbers that are outside of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico are not included and will be billed at $1.45/min. Roaming outside Canada, the U.S., and Mexico is not included. Sending and receiving picture or video messaging in the U.S. and Mexico and Push-to-Talk services use data from your rate plan.
Thank you for posting your question.
Take care.

If I have a Can./US calling plan, but I do not have any kind of data plan, do I need to turn my roaming on in order to make and receive calls when I'm in the US? In the past, I had no trouble making and receiving calls when I was in the US, but have recently been unable to. If I turn on roaming, I am afraid I will incur roaming charges as I do not have any kind of data plan at all. I just want to be able to make and receive phone calls.

Thank you for your reply -
I have a Can./US unlimited calling and texting plan, which I pay for monthly. I am (or was) able to call to and from Canada and the US with no problem. I just don't have any data and only message and FaceTime my family and use the internet when in Wifi. I have actually tried to turn on roaming but calls are still not working. I am in the US and can't make or receive calls to Canada or the US. Incoming calls are going directly to my voicemail, which I cannot call to check, and outgoing calls just say call failed. Bell service has been of no help. We've tried turning the phone off and on again, there are no updates available, I did try turning on cell and roaming services, which did nothing. In settings, under Carrier Lock, it says "this device might be restricted to the original carrier and/or have certain capabilities limited" but Bell says there is no lock on the device. I'm at my wits' end. It's an iPhone 6. Any suggestions?

Good Day.
Thank you for your reply.
As mentioned previously, this is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account and billing records. I wish I could assist you further, but I am not able to do so with the limited information that you have provided.
Have you checked out your: "Rate plan details & your Rate plan Add-ons" in your Bell Mobility agreement? Does it include "Unlimited calling, texting in Canada and in the U.S."
Have you previously been able to call and text from the U.S. to Canada? Have you previously placed a roaming restriction on your mobility account? You can check under My Plan in your MyBell profile to confirm if you have any restrictions on international and/or US calling in place. If you do see a restriction, you'll need to contact Bell Customer Service for assistance in having it removed. Once a roaming restriction has been added, it cannot be removed online.
To access your recent agreement, Login to your MyBell account with any web browser & Select > the following web link: My Agreements . Select > your Mobility service. Your agreement will be on the top of the page below your mobile number.
This may work if your plan does include "Unlimited calling, texting in Canada and in the U.S.". You can try to connect manually & select the local networks where you're located. Depending on where you are at & where you are going, & the local network traffic, you may need to repeat this step several times until you capture a working network. On your iPhone Go to settings.
- Select Cellular.
- Select > Cellular Network or Network Selection
- Select > the Automatic switch to turn off
- Once available, networks appear, you can try to select a desired local carrier.
If none of the above resolves your issue, you are going to need to contact Bell Mobility Customer Service for further assistance at: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device. You can contact Bell: +1 514 420-7748 for roaming inquiries while outside of Canada, free from any Bell mobile device.
Take care.

I received this text message from Bell when I crossed the border from Ontario to Michigan. Does this mean my current Canadian plan still works in the U.S. I can make calls and send texts without limit. I can use my mobile data in both Canada and the U.S without being charged extra for roaming.

Good Day & Welcome.
In order to assist you further, can you please provide us with some additional information.
Which Bell Mobility plan do you subscribe to?
Have you checked out your: "Rate plan details & your Rate plan Add-ons" in your Bell Mobility agreement? Does it include "Unlimited calling, texting and data in Canada and in the U.S."?
- To access your recent agreement, login to your MyBell account with any web browser & select this web link: My Agreements . Select > Mobility service. Your agreement will be on the top of the page below your mobile number.
- You can also view your Bell Mobility Plan & Add-on details by logging in to your MyBell account. Select > Mobility Service. Select > Go to Mobility overview on the right side of the page. Your Plan, add-ons & travel are listed on the left side of this web page.
If your mobility plan includes "Unlimited calling, texting and data in Canada and in the U.S" or you have subscribed to a Bell Mobility Add-on Travel Pass that includes U.S. coverage then you will not be charged extra for roaming.
Travel Passes are compatible with Roam Better and take priority over Roam Better when travelling in an eligible destination (i.e., if you’re using an active Travel Pass in an eligible destination, you won’t be charged the Roam Better fee for the duration of your pass).
Travel Passes include unlimited calling and texting within your destination and back to Canada, plus access to the data from your rate plan.
Please refer to the coverage map & travel options included below & select the U.S. as your travel destination.
You may wish to check out the "Roam Better FAQs" at the bottom this same web page.

Good Day & Welcome
The Bell Global 365-day Travel Pass can only be used in all countries that have access to Bell's Roam Better. It does not include free calling from Canada to other countries.
- Unlimited calling in over 200 international destinations and to Canada.
- Unlimited texting.
- Use the data from your Mobility rate plan.
The only restriction or rule so to speak would be for countries that roaming is not supported, or while on a flight or a cruise ship. In these cases, either a Global 365 or a Roam Better user would both be subject to pay-per-use rates.
- There is no charge for you to call or text a friend with a Canadian mobile number when they are travelling and you are using the Bell Global 365-day Travel Pass while you are travelling outside of Canada.
- Calls to your phone from another number are subject to rates and charges that are associated with the caller's account. Calls to your mobile number would be subject to the rates in their plan. The Bell Global 365-day Travel Pass does not include free calling from another country to your mobile number.
Ensure data roaming is turned on in your device settings to use the service.
Please refer to the weblink that I have included below. Roam Better destinations are shaded in blue on the world map. Hover your mouse over the country to view the country name, travel zone, etc.
If preferable, you can enter your destination in the "Search for your destination" box.
