900 range radio stations no longer available?

Why was the 900 range radio stations service discontinued on August 6?  No notice given.  That was part of our package for years.  Will our package rate be reduces?

Thank you for your question. You are referring to Stingray Music? The channels are available now on Fibe TV and Bell Satellite TV. It is possible that the signal was interrupted by weather at the Bell satellite TV upload/download site in Toronto or at an intermediate site. Rain can do that. There may also have been another short interruption. 

Bell only issues bill credits at their discretion and makes no performance guarantees for residential service.

Stingray channels are still available.   Specifically 956 - CBC Radio 1, 957 - CBC Radio 2 and 969 - NPR Seattle.  All say this service is no longer available.  I expect all radio stations, including several French language ones, have suffered the same fate.  No notice issued by Bell, as far as I'm aware.

Stingray Music stations are still available on Bell TV. Stingray Music audio channels: 901-947. You can access Stingray Music on Bell by:

• Fibe TV Box / Receiver: Press the Apps button on your remote to launch the dedicated Stingray Music app for genre browsing and album art. You can also tune directly to the 900-series audio channels in the guide.
• Fibe TV App (Mobile/Tablet/Web): Specific Stingray channels (like Stingray Hits or Stingray Music feeds) can be streamed if included in your channel lineup, but the interactive on-screen app menu is restricted to home TV boxes.
• Stingray Mobile App: You can authenticate the standalone Stingray mobile app using your Bell TV service credentials, Stingray Music Mobile App .

Stingray Music app on Fibe TV

The Stingray Music app, only available on Fibe TV, lets you access all your favourite stations through an easy-to-use menu. You can browse stations by genre, see a list of recently played songs, display album cover art, and get detailed information on the artists and songs you’re listening. Press Apps on your remote control & scroll to Stingray Music. Scroll to Genre. Scroll and select a station. I have included the following web link as an example only using a Bluetooth Slim remote control.

Thank you for your response and apologies if I wasn't clear. 

Stingray channels continue to be available.   The radio channels, which start at 948-980 all say "this service is no longer available".  I checked my bills for the last 4 months for "important messages", and there was no indication that these channels would ne discontinued.   There was, however, 2 notifications about price increases.  So, less service for more money.

Just a little frustrating...

Thank you for the clarification. It is always helpful to include channel numbers when asking a question, as sometimes issues can be specific to a channel and not more general. 

That being said, I found that channels 952,953,956,958, 960, 963 and 964 are no longer available on Bell Fibe TV and Bell Satellite TV. They have been removed completely from the Fibe TV guide and are a dark screen on Bell Satellite TV. There has been no announcement of the programming change that I can find, however, I have found on this support page, the following. 

Local radio channels are no longer available on Fibe TV.

You can, however, now launch the iHeartRadio™ app from channel 955 or from the Apps menu and listen to your favourite music, radio stations (live and local), playlists and podcasts.

You can continue to access Stingray Music in the guide starting at channel 901 or on-demand through the Music shortcut at the top of the Shows page and explore the Stingray Music™ channels.

I can't comment on billing matters, as those are between the customer and Bell.

I am very disappointed that we are no longer able to listen to CBC radio on channel 952 on our satellite.  No explanation, just no service. Very frustrating.  I am trying to hold onto my satellite service but it seems the price just went up and I lost services. Very unsatisfied. Probably time for change.
