I lost end of Blue jays opener and last of home run derby.
Hopefully Bell takes this as suggestion. Rogers was 3 hours

Why does Bell continually cut off sporting events before they are over? This has happened on major tennis events, and today did with Brier in 10th end and cut off. BELL loves to blame TSN but cord cutters who have TSN can watch entire match. We used to be able to extend time of viewing to as long as we want , now only 30 min allowed. Very annoying when you are playing extra to and all TSN channels.

Good Day & Welcome.
Thank you for contacting the Bell Community Forum.
Is your question related to a sporting event that has not completed in its scheduled time slot & game play has extended beyond the scheduled recording time? E.g. Extra innings, overtime, etc.
If you are using a Fibe TV Cloud PVR, you can only set your to: "Stop recording" at the scheduled time to any one of the following preset software stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min.
If the sporting event extends beyond the 30min. time increment & you wish to increase the recording time, your only other option would be to record the program that is coming on afterwards.
Take care.

Yes I'm using Fibe and I have done the 30 minutes extra for sporting events , but it seem strange that when we have the Tivo box (before Fibe) there was never an issue. I could set recording for as many hours as I wanted , never an issue. FIBE was suppose to offer "better" service but have had more issues than ever before. We keep hearing about "Pure Fibe" but it's still not available in my area snd they don't know whenit will be - but friend in Montreal has it !! Why keep advertising in Ontario when either not available or they have no idea when it will be !!

Good Day.
Thank you for your feedback.
TiVo DVRs were advanced digital video recorders that allow users to pause, rewind, and record live TV, featuring "trick play" functionality and smart, personalized recording, with some models supporting 4K/UHD and streaming apps. As of late 2025, TiVo has ceased manufacturing and selling new, standalone hardware DVRs, though they continue to support existing devices.
As is the case with everything else in life these days, hardware, software, media & technology is continually evolving and changing.
"The only constant in life is change".
Stay tuned.
Take care.

It needs to be extended, especially for Blue Jays games that go into extra innings. Yesterday's is a prime example. I I'm quite frustrated. I know that the competition has longer times available. It shouldn't be a hard thing to do, especially with all the room I have on my PVR

Good Day & Welcome.
Thank you for your input & feedback.
You can only set your to: "Stop recording" on a Fibe TV 4K HDR Cloud PVR to any one of the following preset software stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min.
If the sporting event extends beyond the 30min. time increment & you wish to increase the recording time, your only other option with the Cloud PVR would be to record the program that is coming on afterwards.
You can set the "Stop recording" on a Bell TV 4K PVR, e.g. VIP5662w, etc., to any one of the following preset software stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min., 1hr, 2hr, & 3hr. after. It has an internal hard drive.
Take care.

It may be helpful to understand that Bell's devices are not developed or programmed by Bell. They are third party party devices that Bell brands and markets. "Fixing" something can take time and may or may not be possible or within Bell's control. They might request a change, but it may be some time before a change in implemented by a manufacturer.

Why does the Bell 4K PVR use the scheduled start time to record a TV show and not the digital header within the actual broadcast of the show to begin the recording? As sporting events and special news broadcasts often delay the start of shows, I'm surprised the PVR isn't simply watching for a digital header of the desired PVR show to trigger the start of the PVR recording. As all broadcasts are digital, there must be headers for each show that could be watched and acted upon to detect the start of any delayed broadcast. In the year 2026, this is fully achievable and it would be a logical and appreciated step forward in the world of PVR.

You make an excellent point in that bell did not build the product, but what they did do is set their requirements and evaluate this 3rd part product ending with the selection of this product which was then tested using use cases to verify the fitness of the product for their clients, like me. You are now hearing the dismay from users who find the product deficient for very good reason because bell apparently did not fully understand how their clients use this product. So these work arounds really don't work as a solution and I am resigned to losing the end of many games.

Thank you for your comment. I fully understand what you are saying. I am simply suggesting that changes can take time to develop and implement and are not always within Bell's control.

Great! We now lose our programs after 60 days and miss the overtime on our sporting events. Congratulations to the tech genius who designed this system!!

Good Day & Welcome.
We appreciate your feedback & thank you for your input. As you know, this is a community website composed of members helping other members out by answering questions, solving problems & doing their best to offer up solutions.
Unfortunately, there is little we can offer up to you at this time that will extend the recording time beyond the timer settings as shown:
- You can only set your to: "Stop recording" on a Fibe TV 4K HDR Cloud PVR to any one of the following preset software stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min.
- If the sporting event extends beyond the 30min. time increment & you wish to increase the recording time, your only other option with the Cloud PVR would be to record the program that is coming on afterwards.

Take care.
