Good Day & Welcome
The TCL QM8 TV is a relatively new model and there is no code perse shown on the satellite code list for this make and model. Have you tried contacting the TCL TV manufacturer online customer support? They may be able to provide you with a universal code that will allow for some basic functions. E.g. Power on/off, volume up & down, mute.
Failing this, you can try to program your Bell Satellite remote for a TCL QM8 TV using one of the other generic codes.
Take care.

I have a new Hisense TV and want to be able to adjust the volume with my Bell voice remote. All online instructions I have found are for a slim remote with an Options or Menu button that mine doesn’t have. I tried holding down the “home” button but that did nothing.

Never mind! I was able to do it by going into setup on the Bell Fibe menu. Perhaps this into should be posted online somewhere!

I just swapped a newer tv given to us by a friend for a much older tv. With the old tv, the technician had the Bell remote programmed to perform all day to day functions, including volume control and On/Off. With the newer tv, the Bell remote will now not perform volume and On/Off functions -- it does perform all the other options. I have seen several different proposed approaches to dealing with this online, but I don't want to try anything that may make situations worse and not solve this specific issue. Any advice will be much appreciated!

Good Day.
Thank you for the additional information.
Please tell us more about the model of the LG that you are using. Is this a relatively new model? If so, have you referred to the onscreen instructions for connecting an external device to your TV. Does your model of LG have a connection manager? Please refer to LG manual for instructions to pair your receiver to your TV.
I have included an example below that was provided by LG Support.
To sync your LG TV remote with a TV / Cable box, use the LG remote’s Settings menu to access Device Connector or Universal Control. Select > Set Up Device. Choose your device, then follow on-screen prompts to pair. Ensure the TV / cable box is powered on and within line of sight. If pairing fails, try resetting the remote by removing batteries for 30 seconds. Confirm the remote supports IR or HDMI-CEC control compatible with your TV / Cable box model.
Take care.
