Program Info in Guide incorrect on channel 1395

This goes along with recording programs and it is irritating to those of us just trying to record a game.  Today, April 28 2026, there is the second game against the redsox.  If you head to the guide and get the info on the game it says 'this iss game two of their regular seaon head to head series.'  The original air date, April 28, for the game is correct except for the fact that this game, being aired on ch1395 is a re run of yesterday's game.  If this were a one off circumstance I would let it go, but it is constant.  I am not sure how the original air date for this game, which was yesterday can be so wrong.  We should be able to rely on accurate guide information.  Your programming traffic department seems asleep at the swith because at 7p tonight, when the game actually gets played, has the identical description to this earlier replay.  Just asking for accuracy

Good Day & Welcome.

Bell Fibe TV and Satellite TV obtain their program guide information and scheduling directly from content providers and TV networks, which is then managed through Bell's internal metadata systems. This data includes information on current programming and schedules several days in advance.

I cannot speak for why the scheduling change. There can be any number of reasons for this. E.g. weather, game cancellations, etc.

Bell's TV guide & MLB both show the game to start at 7:07pm today.

Program listings are ingested from various networks and broadcasters in Canada and the U.S. Listings are supplied by Canadian and U.S. broadcasters.

Errors in the guide are typically due to incorrect information provided by the network, rather than a system failure on Bell's part.

Yes, the guide information as shown for this game this afternoon is incorrect. The game is a rerun from last night.

I can only suggest that you raise this question up with the network provider that has the responsibility for providing this program info.

The game you mention as shown in the  Guide this afternoon on all of the Sportsnet channels is a rerun from yesterday.

The final score in that game yesterday: Boston 5 - Toronto 0

Unfortunately, it is what it is and there is little we can do to change this.

Thank you for posting your question.

Take care.

Teaching one to accept  as an acceptable and inevitable outcome leaves me wondering of the purpose of this site

Good Day.

Thank you for your input & feedback.

You may not like the answer to the question or the solution to the problem, but there is little I can do to change this for you.

The purpose of the Bell Community Forum is to provide a place for you to seek and share support, insights and information about Bell products and services with other like-minded users such as myself.

This is a peer-to-peer website in which members help each other out by asking and answering questions, sharing thoughts, ideas and solutions. It is not the end all or the be all.

As I mentioned in my earlier reply, program listings are ingested from various networks and broadcasters in Canada and the U.S. Listings are supplied by Canadian and U.S. broadcasters.

Errors & omissions in the guide are typically due to incorrect information provided by the network, rather than a system failure on Bell's part.

Yes, the guide information as shown for this game was incorrect. We do not live in a perfect world. Mistakes are made. Please accept our apologies. We will try to do better next time.

Take care.

Hi @Sheldonr
Thank you for your post.
Are you able to share which television service you subscribe to and which receiver model you have?
You've mentioned you notice this occurs constantly. The next instance this occurs, are you able to share what the guide shows, what the info shows and what is actually playing?
Looking forward to hearing back.

Thanks for checking in.  I checked the last game which had a rerun followed by a later new game and the problem seems corrected for now. Im using the bell cloud for my recording and i am in thornhill ontario.  I've also checked the scheduled recordings through to may 10 and they appear accurate.  Thanks

Thank you for your explanation.  I thought this site was set up as a type of user group do provide feedback on things we experience as a repository of issues and features   I am very aware of the inner workings of a major broadcaster programming, traffic and other mgt domains.   I have written, designed and consulted to an array of broadcasters in north america.   So my observations were not designed to be critical or denigrating of bell.  To the contrary, I want them to have the finest system in north america as it benefits me in the long run.  So my apologees for any mis impression I might have given

Heh @Sheldonr no problem. We appreciate your feedback and candidness.

Thank you for your feedback and follow up.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Take care,
