Unable to fast forward recording

I am unable to fast forward a pvr recording. Is this normal?

If you are watching Live TV or On Demand, then the fast forward function is not available. However, you can fast forward any recorded program upon completion.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.

  • Are you able to share which television service you subscribe to (Satellite or Fibe TV)?
  • Can you share which receiver model you have?
  • Aside from fast forwarding, does your recording work?
  • What happens when you attempt to fast forward a recording?
  • Is there any error message or code that appears and if so, can you share what it says?
  • Have you tried rebooting your equipment?
  • Does this happening with all recordings or specific ones?
