My TV receiver VIP5662 failed recently. I use an Amazon Fire Stick on a Sharp Aquos TV on a separate set up from the receiver equipped TV. I use the Bell Fibe app to access my Bell TV programming. In this way I am not affected by the loss of receiver but there is one significant change. Previously I was able to record Bell TV programming using the Fire Stick remote and the record function. Those recordings would then be accessible via the Fibe App. Since the TV receiver failed, I am not able to record via the Fire Stick and its remote. It appears that those recordings were saved to the Bell TV receiver and not the cloud PVR or through the receiver to the cloud PVR. Can someone explain the recording process, via or around the TV receiver?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
You mentioned your VIP5662 failed due to a power outage. Is the receiver working normally now or is it still experiencing issues? Without the VIP5662 powered on, connected to the internet and working correctly, you will not be able to record or watch recordings through the Fibe TV app as the app attempts to gather the recordings from the receiver, as the recordings are stored on the receiver.
The Cloud based recordings are not available with the VIP5662 and is only available to customers who have the VIP7802 or our Equipmentless TV service.

Please reference my previous reply to your earlier post for additional information.
The Bell VIP5662W (Arris) is a 4K Whole Home PVR with a built-in 1 Terabyte (TB) storage module, allowing it to record significant content, typically holding around 150 hours of 4K or 320 hours of HD. The Bell VIP5662W 4K PVR is not a a Cloud PVR.
All of your recordings are stored locally on the hard disk that is built into the VIP5662w.
If the VIP5662w fails for whatever reason and or if there is insufficient storage space remaining on the built in hard disk, you may not be able to record or access any of your recordings using the Fibe TV App with your Amazon Fire TV Stick.

Hello, I am not using a 5662 at the moment. More on that later if need be. For now, using a LG Smart TV and the Bell Fibe App loaded on the same TV. In the Bell Fibe App, there are recordings, which, in my case are previously scheduled and currently recorded TV programs. The recordings are obviously saved, but not on my TV or my disconnected, unpowered 56s62 reciever. That leads me to understand that I am somehow accessing the Cloud PVR that Bell is introducing. Secondly, when I use my Smart TV remote, an LG remote by the way, it controls all of the Fibe TV functions but one, that being recording. You seem to understand my predicament and hopefully this second round of explanation is equally clear to you.
