Hi @Wakka 1971
So I was able to get a little information.
While 4K content is not available on Satellite TV, these channels will be an information only slide. More information regarding these channels will be updated on the slide at a later date.

During the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Fibe TV will offer select matches in HDR (High Dynamic Range) and Dolby Vision on the TSN 4K and RDS 4K channels, ensuring the highest video quality available. These channels are specifically created for the tournament to deliver richer colours and enhanced detail compared to SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) feeds.

HDR is auto detected when your device and TV support it, and the content is offered in HDR. No manual switching is required in most cases.

Yes, I know that and have updated my post...BUT as you can see the channels are INDEED available to sat subscribers thru the "great" bellfibe app which is "beyond great" as I was not expecting that to be the case.   Thanks to the "information message" on the sat box, I will be watching the "extra events" channels more closely for this type of "upgraded service".   Thumbs up to Bell... you might not be upgrading the "traditional sat service / boxes" but you are providing your sat subscribers with some "window" into "modern 4k channels".... bring on hockey and football.   🙂

Hi @Wakka 1971
Thank you for your post.
You are correct; TSN 4K is not available on Satellite television. It's possible this was a temporary glitch.
Is the channel still showing in your guide and if so, what station number is it on? Are you able to access the content and watch it?
Looking forward to hearing back.

Having this looked into and will do my best to provide an update once I receive some information.

I haven't tried this yet as I just saw the "panel" this morning for tennis (not a soccer fan).... but has any one that has a sat subscription tried the fibetv app "subscription" alternative to see if the channel does show up as being "available" AND is watchable in "hdr"?

ADDED:   well, I just tired to watch the channel on my surface pro (which is capable of doing 4K I think) with the fibetv web page  and the channel is "there" in the guide as 1390, 1391 BUT show a "fibe tv 4K content is compatible with your device and display" when you attempt to "play".   Disappointing in that the stream should be playable if you can "see it" in the fibetv app as why would the "push" a channel that isn't allowed.   The other "guess" would be that they are using some form of HDR that isn't in the "main stream" of the 4k domain (what?... hdr10+? or something) and the device, in this case my computer doesn't have an driver that supports that "flavour".... 😞   I haven't tried it thru my bell streamer or equivalent (chromecast which can do 4k).

ADDED: :-))))  So I just up my Chromecast streamer / fibetv app and the 4k channels are indeed available to "SAT customers" and in 4k DV which is good to know especially since I am a tennis fan... 🙂

Good Day & Welcome

4K content is not available on Satellite TV, these channels are shown an informational.

When using the Fibe TV app on a computer, e.g. Surface pro, etc., you can Filter these channels in the TV Guide & remove them from Favourites in Settings.

If you select TSN4K, TSN2- 4k SN-4k, or SN1-4k, in the Guide, you will see the following message window open indicating:

  • "Fibe TV 4K content is not compatible with your device and display."

Take care

OK... so the REAL question is:   Is there a "screwup" in the bellfibe tv app allowing those channels to be seen or is this a "new channel lineup" for the app for sat subscribers and others?

Good Day & Welcome.

Thank you for your reply.

This is the real thing. It is what it is at this time. As is the case with everything in life, there will always be changes.

Stay tuned & enjoy!

Take care.
