Good Day & Welcome.
Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community Forum.
Your Bell home phone voicemail password (Call Answer) defaults to your 7-digit telephone number (without the area code). To retrieve messages, dial *98, enter the default password, and follow the voice prompts to set up a new 4 to 15-digit PIN.
If you've forgotten your Call Answer password, you can reset it by calling 6-1-1 from any Bell Home phone.

I have been trying to reset my HOME PHONE voicemail password for 3 days now. I have searched through MyBell with no luck. I have called Customer Service without any luck. I have used the 611 number without any luck. I am down to my last try to sign in before my voicemail box gets locked.
I have followed the directions provided by Contributors in this community without any luck.
The closest I have come to a solution was a link called "Reset my password now" in the HOME PHONE help section. However, when I click on it, then I am asked for which MOBILITY phone number I want to use. How does this happen?
Does anyone have a real solution?

Hey there @Frustrated911
Thank you for reaching out to the Bell community.
Can you please clarify exactly what happens when you try to reset your password? For example, do you hear an error message, or tone on the line? Are you trying to reset it from home or are you away from home?
Hope to hear from you soon,

Good Day.
Thank you for reaching out once again.
I would like to assist you in resolving this matter. Can you please tell me more so that I may help you more in changing your password? The following questions may seem to sound somewhat dumb to you, but I am just trying to analyze some of the common causes.
You mentioned: 'a link called 'Reset my password now" in the HOME PHONE help." ... can you elaborate on this and explain on where and how you are accessing this message? Any error messages popping up?
- Is your Home phone service connected to the Bell Mobility network or is it an active landline service connected to MyBell and is shown as one of your Bell Home services?
- The device that you are using, would it be a portable digital wireless system that allows you to take calls from more than one line or service? Bell home phone line, mobility, etc.
- Do you have a Bell mobility phone as well?
- If so, have you linked your Bell mobility phone line to your wireless home phone telephone system? E.g. Panasonic, VTech, etc.
- If you are using a wireless home phone answering system, have you checked out the user manual instructions for updating and changing your phone system password?
- Is your home phone landline on fibre or on copper? Do you have a Bell modem installed?
- You mentioned contacting customer service. Did you contact Bell Home phone tech support & report that you could not reset your password?
Should this problem continue to persist, please let us know & we will do our best to help you solve this issue.
Take care.

- He told me the MyBell app is being modified for Home Phone support and during this period many functions are not available (including being able to reset voicemail passwords). There is no target date when these functions will be restored nor could he say in what form. You should verify that your tips actually work.
- After solving that problem, he reset my password in less than 5 minutes.

Good Day.
Thank you for your gracious reply and in sharing this detail.
I cannot comment on what was shared with you by a helpful tech. I do know that if you've forgotten your Call Answer password or you wish to change it, you can easily reset it by calling 6-1-1 from any Bell Home phone or by following the instructional steps included below.
If you are only wishing to change your Bell Call Answer (voicemail) password, you can also do so by:
- Dialing *98 from your home phone.
- Enter your current password.
- Follow the voice prompts by pressing 4, 2, 1 (or 4, 2, 1, 1 for Message Manager).
- Enter your new: 4 to 15-digit password.
- Press #.
Please "Go to helpful replies" with the green checkmark ✔️ for further information.
Take care.
