i am 81 years old and i need a phone monitoring system in case something happens to me..i have contacted Bell on several occasions and talked to many people and been promised call backs but so far nothing..no phone calls,no explanations other than there is a vine growing on the wires down the road..Bell says hydro has to take the vines off and hydro says Bell has to..some sort of safety issue but in the meantime,i have no home phone and no health monitor..i am not well..i phoned again today and they told me that someone was supposed to come and take the vine off the wires, but nobody has and nobody has phoned me to tell me when they were going to fix this..i don't believe the problem even is the vines on the wires..they've been there for years...i am so fed up..they keep sending me bills but they aren't helping me with my problem..should something happen to me,

Good Day & Welcome @fspaso
Thank you for updating the community on the status of the repair to your Bell Home phone service.
Glad to see that this has now been resolved.
The likely cause of your home phone line issue would have been corrosion or moisture entering into the cable and or service wire at the point of connection on the pole. This is usually due to foliage overgrowth as you mentioned, weather, the age of the infrastructure, etc.
You also mentioned that you are experiencing issues with your Bell Satellite TV reception. This is primarily affected by physical line-of-sight obstructions such as trees & bushes, adverse weather conditions, and hardware or alignment issue.
There is a one-time service charge to move, re-align & reset your satellite dish.
Bell Satellite TV installations and any service call come with a 90-day warranty that covers the replacement of any dish accessory. After 90 days, charges apply when your Satellite TV service isn't working and a technician is required.
If you wish to move your satellite dish to another location, please contact Bell Satellite TV to arrange for a technician visit. Please call: 1 888 759-3474.
Bell's One Time & Service-related Fees
Take care.

technician came and was checking outside in the box,he left everything and disappeared..i later saw someone up the ladder truck working on the line but nowhere near the vines..my phone works now finally and i hooked up my life assure so i feel much better..nobody told me what the reason was why my phone did not work for a month...now i'm having problems with my television..i think the dish should be moved to where the Shaw dish was...they placed it on my old tv antenna about six feet off the ground..a bush beside it grew up and interfered so a technician came and started to cut the bush..i told him the dish was too low and could he move it..he said that if they sent someone to do that it would cost me???..he moved the dish about a foot higher..i'm still having the same problems that i've been having now since i got Bell..this will be the third techniician for the same problem..i think Bell's problem is that they have contracted the work out and the employees of the company they have hired are all lazy..i've seen them asleep in their trucks on my road...
